Hm, well I hope it gets released on PS2, because I sure as hell don't have enough money to get a 360 or PS3
<div class="quote_poster">NTC187 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Its only for next gen consoles, PS3 and XBox 360.</div> Yep, only next Gen consoles. Then after about 5 to 8 months it will hit the PC market and expand.
Seems like it might be the whole East Coast or country... I mean, if San Andreas was three cities, GTA IV could very well be more. Especially with that Vice City sign in the trailer.
Yeah, I'm sure the map will be HUGE. I actually already have it pre-ordered at Game Stop. I wanna get a PS3 but later this year around June for my b-day. There is going to an extra episode for each console's online system.
Fall of this year, probably October...at least that's what I think. Don't quote me on that. As for the game on the PS2, it won't happen.
October 16. They usually come out in October form what I can remember, at least SA did. Yeah, don't count on a PS2 version. Get a job, set aside a good 400 for a Core 360 and GTA IV.
Some details have emerged about the game from this months Game Informer magazine: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The May issue of Game Informer has hit the mailboxes of subscribers today. Here is some info gathered from the magazine...<ul> [*]The main character's name is Niko Bellic. Apparently he is either Croation or Serbian. [*]Multiplayer is confirmed, but it's not like an MMO. [*]You can use a cellphone to actually call contacts. It also has a phonebook, organizer, messages, and even a camera! [*]There are no planes. Rockstar said they would be entirely useless in the game. [*]The story will branch out in multiple ways depending on whom you choose to 'hang out' with. [*]The game's time frame is around 2007. [*]Police are more unforgiving than ever, their advanced AI is improved. [*]The soundtrack is totally revamped focusing more on moods than just popular songs. [*]You can call female friends for a date. (Hot Coffee in high-definition, hell yeah!) [*]No more annoying loading times, even with the interiors of buildings. The non-linear storyline sounds promising. For a game as open-ended as GTA, I always thought it was kind of wierd they never put more choice in the missions. It'd be cool if it was kind of like GTA2, where you would do a mission for one gang and the other ones would get pissed off at you.
So I guess this would make a few different stories then? Maybe a different story for each group would be the case I guess. I'm real excited but the main character is kinda weak IMO.
Very nice, so it looks as though they want to take a step away from the older stuff. I'm hoping for a revamped GTA game this time so that it doesn't feel like the gameplay was taken out of the trash and given a polish.
Yeah, even if the 360 is cheaper, I've been with Playstation for ever, and really want a PS3. Plus I'm getting one soon, I hope.
I was just being silly, but I recently got a PS3. It's impressive. Plus most games are going to be on both consoles I believe.
