What are some of your guys' favorite songs that are overplayed on the radio? For me, it's Fergie. God damn she's ugly, but there's something about her that's sexy. (Yes, I know...she peed her pants, don't need to bring it up). Glamorous is that ****. If you don't like any trendy songs, than don't post. There is no need to say something negative.
I never got into Gnarls Barkley. The rest of my family though, is absolutely in love with their music.
There is a song called "2 Step Bhangra" that was getting airplay in Toronto and gaining recognition. It's a half Punjabi half English song that had even the non-Indians boppin to it.
lol, in Canada the Arcade Fire is actually mainstream now. So I'll pretty much pick anything from them.

Um... today, nothing really, unless you want to consider RHCP "trendy." If you mean like a pop, emo, dance, etc. song, then I honestly don't like any of what's out there now, which is a shame, because some of the pop from the mid-90's when I was in school was great (no, not the Backstreet Boys and all that bullshit, but like Ace of Base, Third Eye Blind, ATC, Weezer, Beck, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Jamiroquai, etc. Those groups were my "guilty pleasures" back in the day; the kind of groups that you'd only listen to when you were absolutely sure no one else could hear you playing them but enjoyed for whatever reason none the less.)
I agree entirely with you VC, the music back then wasn't shameful to listen to as the majority of stuff is nowadays. I liked a few of Eagle Eye Cherry's tunes myself. <div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Oh yeah, they're pretty original. I never checked out the full album, how would you rate it?</div> I would rate St. Elsewhere at 8/10. A lot of experimental stuff and plenty of tracks you won't be skipping to get to your favorite(s). The album cover booklet is really cool as well. Also, they may be on the radio and all over the television, but surely haven't allowed all that BS to change who they are.
A while back I downloaded all the songs that I "grew up on", as in, before I was picky about what genres I listen to and what not. Not counting BSB and NSync, the songs from 1997-2001 were awesome for me in all honesty. Hearing them again just reminds me of the days when I was a kid. It wasn't even really the words or whatever, but the tune of some of the songs were great to just chill and listen to. It brought back a lot of memories. Next - Too Close, Weezer - Island In The Sun (I know, not that old), Blur - Song 2, Maddona - Frozen, The Offspring - Why Don't You Get A Job, Pretty Fly, etc. Yeah, they were pop songs, but they were all still enjoyable IMO. Nowadays, I haven't been feeling much of the "pop" in the mainstream, and most of the radioplay songs are either hiphop, r&B crossovers, or straight rock. I enjoy listening to Daniel Beddingfield though, although I don't think he's that trendy .

Well, I think his recent songs are nice (2002 - present); I didn't really listen to him in the NSync days.
If you have guilty pleasures, you're listening to music for the wrong reason. I'm currently diggin' Fergie Feat. Ludacris - Glamorous Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around Young Jeezy Feat. R. Kelly - Go Getta Lily Allen - LDN Timbaland Feat. Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake - Give It To Me Gwen Stefani - Wind It Up In related news, I watched NSYNC's I Want You Back video a few hours ago. 'Twas good fun!
<div class="quote_poster">Sasha Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> Lily Allen - LDN </div> Nice. I forgot about her. She's actually really talented.

<div class="quote_poster">NTC187 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I absolutley hate Lily Allen, she has the worst voice I've ever heard, and her songs are so stupid.</div> lmao, she actually has some very clever lyrics. tbh I'm not into her, but as far as "trendy songs" go, she's a lot better to me than fergie
nelly furtado - promiscuous.. i still can listen to that song with full enjoyment..her new single is killing me though. lily allen isnt the greatest but she wears jordans and looks like a cokehead which makes her a keeper in my book
All these (current mainstream) songs are terrible, but I can't believe Sasha said he/she liked that Gwen Stefani "Wind it up" song. And you said Cornell was a bad singer? Christ.
