<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe Bryant vehemently denied a published report that he has made any contact, on behalf of Nike or for any reason, with University of Texas star player Kevin Durant. A Dallas Morning News feature story on Durant, a freshman forward who is expected to declare for the NBA Draft, began, "Word is Kobe Bryant has already called Kevin Durant on behalf of Nike and that a shoe deal ranging between $30 million and $50 million simply needs to be presented." Such a conversation would result in a large fine for Bryant and/or the Lakers, as it has for three other NBA teams in the last month, but after Wednesday's practice, Bryant said the report was inaccurate. "It's complete B.S.," Bryant said. "I don't know him, I've never spoken to him, I've never seen him. Obviously he's a phenomenal talent, from watching him on TV a couple times, but I don't know him at all. So I don't know where they got that story from or that idea from. They might want to start checking their facts." </div> Link So, what do you think's going to happen. Is going to get fined for something he apparently didn't do?
<div class="quote_poster">Kobe24bryant Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Even if he is fined, it dosen't matter to him. Whats $30,000 to Kobe.</div> Thats not the point. The point is the media is using Kobe's name inaccurately and it may cost him $$$ because of it. $30,000 aint jack to Kobe, but the use of his name publicly and inaccurately would piss me off too.
