You can't study for this. You have to know what to use where and our teacher wants us to do big sentences, and to me its pretty hard. So just asking.

Que? Cabron puto ey vato pendejho cerveza.

M Two One should be able to help you a bit, French and Spanish are very similar (since Spain is next door to France), alot of the same words just pronounced slightly different. Most of the French people I know can speak or understand Spanish.

Spanish and French are derived from Latin, just like Portuguese, Italian and Romanian. As I mentioned I know some words, but I couldn't help someone with their homework assaignment. Should be easy to learn though once I have French mastered. In the language difficulty numbers scale French is a 7, while Spanish is a 4. Other note worthy languages - English is a 5, Mandarin Chinese is a 4 and Japanese is a 17. I haven't seen anything higher then a 17. [IMG]

I never quite pictured you as an honor student...

Mandarin Chinese a 4? Wow, who knew... seems complicated as hell.

In HS I took three years of Spanish, just because most of the colleges I was applying to required three years of a foreign language, but I hated every minute of it and have since forgotten all of what I 'learned.'

I love how people come and seek homework help online, when they have a book in front of them 99% of the time. Sure, it's a totally different language but I speak three and I've used books for two of them, and I never got stuck so bad on homework that I needed outside help. Eh.

We have Spanish books in our classes. We weren't issued one by the school.

M2One, you got a link to that ranking of difficulty for languages? Seems pretty interesting.

Supposedly it is quite simple to learn with a little time and dedication. It is the most spoken language in the world. Something like 1/5 of all people can speak it. Spanish is second and then I believe it is English.

    <div class="quote_poster">Will637 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Learning english is harder than learning chinese?</div>

Mandarin Chinese, there are several variants of the Chinese language. Also a funny note I learned a while back is that most people foreign to English that can speak it well enough can point out grammatical errors and spoken word mistakes around 60 percent better then a native speaker of the language actually can. It comes from the way they have to learn it, specifically in parts of Europe.
