Tennessee is cruising right now 7-10 from 3 point land and they have gotten Oden and Conley Jr in foul trouble. Right now it's a 26-14 lead for UT. This is a HUGE stretch for both teams. Tennessee needs to keep pouring it on and Ohio State needs to keep it fairly close so they can come back with their 2 studs.

Damn refs seem like they enjoy calling tick-tack fouls on Oden. I thought these college refs were supposed to be good better than the NBA ones...

Edit: damn those 1st and 3rd fouls were weak as hell.

I just got home, so I missed the first two fouls, but that third foul was legitimate. Crews probably would have made that shot had he been able to follow through with it. There was pretty clear contact.

Ohio State and Wisconsin are really disgracing the Big Ten, but I've gotta love this result so far, because my boy's on fire. Did anyone else see the way Dane Bradshaw absolutely tore up Ohio State's defense before racking up the assist on that recent play?

The first and 3rd fouls were about the same if I remember right, that offensive foul was certainly a foul.

At best it looks like Ohio State will be down 17 at the break if they make the FT.

The third foul was a foul, but it I've seen them let a lot more contact go than this. Its just frustrating to me because the reffing in this tournament has been just so inconsistent. I see teams like SIU and VCU get away with murder on D just being so aggressive, but then watching this and the UCLA game, they aren't letting OSU or UCLA play their aggressive D. That first foul on Oden was just ridiculous. This is the sweet 16, I'd like to see these refs keep the ticky-tack fouls to a minimum, or at the very least keep it consistent throughout every game. It'd be hard for a team to get away with agressive D one game and then get in foul trouble by playing the same way the next.

Here comes the Buckeyes. Law of averages, Tennessee starts bricking their shots and Ohio State starts penetrating and making.

Conley just picked up his 3rd foul though.

    This officiating is ridiculous.

Seriously, how do you not give Lofton the ball? That was probably the most retarded thing he could have done.

Wow that block was crazy. I don't believe the shot would of gone in anyways, but it was a remarkable block nonetheless.

That Oden fellow reminds me a lot of that old Russell fellow.

With this block, Oden sent a message to every team facing Ohio State from now on in this tournament.

Tennessee missed went 1-2 on their last two trips to the free throw line. They make those free throws and they're still playing right now. The rest of the game was amazing though. When Lewis, i think, hit that 3 right in the defenders face and Lofton goes up on the next possession and launches a bomb from deep thats perfect. One of, if not the best game I've seen so far.

Greg Oden was brilliant last night, and I'm impressed with his composure. Ohio State has one of the worst backcourts in the nation when it comes to discipline and execution. I was tracking how many times Oden sprinted down the court, fought for position, call for the ball, and then watch his guard waive him off and chuck a 3 pointer or dribble into a double team.

Greg Oden only had two field goal attempts in this game. TWO! Absolutely ridiculous, especially when he's playing against a team of shorties.

If Greg Oden was on my team, I'd extert every opportuinity to get him the ball. Amazing. Could it have been the game plan, because teams prepare for Greg Oden? I still would give it to him, because not a lot of people out there can stop, much less slow down Greg Oden.

Oden didn't have a lot of FGA but he also only played 18 minutes. He got called for a ticky tack foul early and his 4th foul was definitely NOT a foul. Anyway, they did a good job this game of mixing it up between three pointers and a lot of slashing to the hoop, rather than just throwing it up from outside all game. Ohio State is making for some exciting games so far, and I thought they showed a lot of heart with that intense comeback after Tennessee went like 8/10 on threes or something.
