The game is tied 21-21 with about 3 minutes left in the 1st quarter. Kobe only needs 40 more points to hit 50 again. Smush has already been subbed out for with 2 fouls, and Kwame just picked up his 2nd.
I wonder what the reaction will be if Kobe hits 50 again but the Lakers lose. Probably won't be pretty.
Chris Paul is doing whatever he wants with the ball. He already has 6 FTs in the game and both Shamu and Parker are in foul trouble. Kobe has 13 points after 1 quarter, but Lakers are losing 29-31.

<div class="quote_poster">bigballer111 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Lakers not doing so great defensively. If Kobes able to score 50 or more they will win it.</div> I think the coaching staff finally came to the realization the Lakers aren't going to beat anyone with defense, so they decided to unleash Kobe and see if other teams can keep up with LA offensively. PLEASE BOX OUT TYSON CHANDLER!

Chris Paul is doing a good job of managing the game for the Hornets right now, keeping them close despite Kobe's scoring.
<div class="quote_poster">shapecity Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">PLEASE BOX OUT TYSON CHANDLER! </div> Seriously, he had a huge amount of rebounds against the Jazz a couple weeks ago. Not only that, but I think he caught like 10 simple alley oops from Chris Paul. He's pretty good. Looks like kobe is on pace to hit 50 again...... we'll see how he plays in the 2nd half.
