<div class="quote_poster">NBA MAN Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe- 4.5 APG Jordan- 5.3 APG</div> ... Kobe plays less minutes a game and came straight out of Highschool... That's a pretty bad point fellow. <div class="quote_poster">NBA MAN Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">But it's run in key stretches of the game. Like Paxson's Game 6 Winner against PHX and God knows how many other times.</div> What? Not much detective work here.
<div class="quote_poster">NBA MAN Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Don't use the highschool excuse</div> What are you talking about? Per 40 Kobe averages 5 assists, and Jordan averaged 5.5. What a difference. <div class="quote_poster">THE DREAM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">a lot of the discussion now has switched to "baskeball IQ" which Jordan excelled in</div> And Mindless bashing as well. You also forget how Balanced Kobe was against PHX.
<div class="quote_poster">NBA MAN Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">And what a big difference the TS% is between Wade and Kobe this year huh?</div> The Point about TS% is that Kobe should not be held to a Double Standard. I never said Wade needs to have a higher percentage, but you did say that Kobe's percentage wasn't high enough so it needed to be brought up. Jordan is a slightly better passer, but the difference is very minute. If Kobe had been able to get more minutes earlier on instead of playing behind All-Stars, he would probably have more Assists because APG is a volume-based statistic. Whereas efficiency is harder to achieve.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And Mindless bashing as well. Game Seven was a twenty five point deficit early in the Third, it looked dead to me. I don't know when we started determining an entire career off of one game. Personally, you are full of generalizations yourself and I haven't been dissing Jordan to try and make my point.

The other games in that series Kobe was finding open teammates and scoring at a high clip.
Wade in the 2006 Finals showed me what it means when to turn it on and off. His timing was great. As great as Kobe is, he needs to learn that. I call it the X Factor.
<div class="quote_poster">NBA MAN Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">^He's not. That has been Kobe's problem his whole career.</div> What are you trying to say? That Jordan is a .5 better passer? People just mindlessly criticize one when one loses.

<div class="quote_poster">THE DREAM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I agree...that's one of the reasons I say Wade > Kobe</div> Uh I say Kobe > Wade. Great you've proven nothing. Wade wasn't passing the ball much in the Finals either fellow. The Heat also played great defense as a team.
<div class="quote_poster">THE DREAM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I agree...that's one of the reasons I say Wade > Kobe</div> I'll have to disagree with you there. When they played eachother this year I thought Wade tried to hard to "beat Kobe." Kobe had great timing both games and it culminated in an OT 124-118 win at home. Kobe made some clutch plays and outplayed Wade.

You say Kobe can't continue to score 40 or 50 points or we'll never win against the top teams. You're right. Because the Lakers flat out suck. If Kobe doesn't score 40 or 50 points, then we lose. Wade can defer to his teammates, Kobe can't, because his teammates suck. Put Wade in Kobe's situation, Wade will have to score 40 or 50 points a night for the Lakers to win as well. Bottom line is, if Kobe doesn't have a big scoring night, we lose. It's been proven time and time again this season. There's not much to argue about. If you actually surround Kobe with talent, he won't have to score 40 or 50 a night to win
