Not huge news, but kind of sad. I loved seeing him play even if it was just garbage minutes. He worked his arse off when he was on.

I don't know what to think of this. I thought he had a chance to be good.

    Raptors are signing Luke Jackson.
I watched behind the 2006 draft on raptors TV, and BC didn't pick Tucker but it was the other guy who picked Tucker, I forgot his name.
BC actually tried to trade pick for cash. I guess you can't go wrong with BC.lol
Can anyone tell me who we would have picked if we didnt draft tucker??

I don't remember that much about luke jackson but I remember he was serviceable backup PG at one time. This pickup could be just insurance for our PG spot.

I'd rather we waive Graham than Tucker.

It sucks how a guy like Tucker gets waived while a guy like Graham is getting minutes.

I don't doubt that Tucker will find another team and play well there.

Interesting development. As was already said I though Tucker was a decent prospect. He wasn't going to light it up or anything but he had some potential worth taking a look at.

Yea, I don't really see the point of waiving him. I mean, he showed the potential to be a decent role player. He hustled a lot and showed much more effort and consistency than Joey Graham, when he got minutes. At the very least, you could've just stashed in the D-League for a while.

But, I don't think BC was very high on him the first place. In the Behind the Draft thing, he was going to basically trade the pick away for some cash, but one of his scouts was real high on Tucker. I guess his play in the NBDL wasn't impressive enough.

I guess we waived him strictly to take a look at the new guy ... interesting.

Stupid. When P.J. was on the floor, you could visibly see the change in the pace of the game. I can't believe this. By far, the stupidest move he's made so far imo.

Man that sucks. In the limited time he received, Tucker performed really well. I much rather have him on the team than Graham.

hmm If they were going to make a play for NDBL guy i would of suggested Von Wafer he is averaging 20pts and shoots the 3ball at 45% and on the year he has made 100 3pt shots out of 223 attempts . Conversly while Jackson's 48% is an impressive mark he has only hit 34 total 3pt FGs. Although Jackson has played in less games...

I do think Colangelo has a facination with a great white hype type of a player.

    ^I agree.
IMO PJ was a great hustle player and was one of the few players who could grab some decent boards. He is small but hard worker and thought he could be a role player in this league. I was really impressed when I saw him play his limited minutes. Now that he is gone, I wish him the best of luck.

I've never heard of Luke Jackson? What are the stats on him?

Von Wafer's rights are owned by the Lakers I think. And Adam Morrison was the ultimate "great white hype."

The only thing that bothers me about this signing is that he was just cut by the Celtics in training camp.

    That's because Greg Oden > Luke Jackson .. j/k

Nothing like dumpster diving for a few prospects. I doubt any of this is going to lead anywhere. We probably spent more time discussing this in the forum than Colangelo cared to think about this move.

Luke Jackson was actually a 10th pick in the 2005 draft I believe. Great shooter, but he had a lot of shoulder injuries. He's got potential, but do we really need another shooter with Mo Pete, Parker, Bargs and Garbo?
