<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SAN ANTONIO -- The scene in the Pistons locker room following the loss in Houston Thursday seemed amusing at the time. Reporters were crowded around Richard Hamilton asking about his 13th technical foul and how he plans to stave off a one-game suspension. Two lockers away, Rasheed Wallace couldn't help but laugh at Hamilton's plight. "What's the over-under on when Rip gets suspended?" Wallace asked. "I'm betting. I want a piece of that." Nobody was laughing on Friday, when Wallace picked up his 18th technical foul. Unless the league rescinds it, he will be suspended Sunday in Milwaukee. Hamilton wasn't laughing Thursday. And his mood didn't improve after the loss to the Spurs Friday, even though he scored 16 points, hitting 8 of 12 shots. Defenders have ramped up their physicality against him in recent games, as his bruised and battered body attests, and in his opinion he isn't getting his just reward from the officials. "It's bad, man," he said. "I am tired of it. I ain't going to lie to you. I drive, I get bumped all the way down and I don't get no call, no explanation, no nothing." Hamilton is averaging 5.5 free-throw attempts a game. Over the last 12, though, he has gotten to the line fewer than four times a game (3.5) and, before Friday, had gone three games without attempting a free throw. He missed his only two free-throw attempts Friday. Hamilton's frustration is palpable. His 13 technical fouls ranks third in the league (behind Wallace and Phoenix's Amare Stoudemire) and three short of a suspension. It's also had an adverse effect on his game. Before Friday, he had averaged 13.3 points (seven below his average) and shot 35 percent (11 points below his average) in six games. "He's got to keep his mouth shut," said coach Flip Saunders, who earned a technical Friday. "All of our players do."</div> Source
Well if Rip Hamilton had the back problems Mac had, he probably would play 47 games. Anyway, I'm sure Rip's just out of sync right now cause he's just come back from injury, and is probably playing with pain, so he can feel it more when he drives to the basket. He'll be fine, he's one of the least players I'd expect to have off games.
