Reportedly in the Chicago Sun Times, J-Rich has been telling all his friends that the Warriors will be trading him this summer. He says it's because of Monta's emergence, and that his two choices to be dealt to are chicago or detroit. man i don't want us to trade j-rich but if the deal makes us better then hell, pull the trigger.

Who would he be traded for. We need a real PF or possibly C (try Andris at PF). I can't imagine we're getting either of the Wallaces and they wouldn't fit into Nelson's system anyway. P.J. Brown? No thanks. Nazr Mohammed mabe, but he's undersized and is he really worth giving up JRich for? I hope he didn't really say that because it would really put the Warriors into a box. Don't know if his contract says he can dictate trade conditions.

Nah I dont think Jrich is a good fit for Pax. No "D"

    J RiCH

    PPG 14.6
    RPG 4.60
    APG 3.4

    Deng
    PPG 18.7
    RPG 7.10
    APG 2.4

Why would we have to throw in thomas?
Why would we want this trade?
    How exactly does chicago benifit?

    We Get older
    Lose defence
    Lose a potential star player

Nah I dont think its happening.

And to the original poster PJ is an expiring contract, After this year you guys can just sign him if you want him. The trade deadline has come and gone.

lol -- the only reason why JRich has had those numbers this year is because he's dealt with a MAJOR injury all season, one that many players wouldn't have come back from so quick.

Next year JRich will average over 20 a game. And defense? Obviously you haven't seen many Warrior games, because he's one of the better team defenders at his position. He causes a gang of turnovers and can body up.

Besides, GS wouldn't want Thomas' greedy ass anyways, lol. You can keep that fool.

Next year, that JRich for Deng + Thomas trade would look terrible for GS. As a Warrior fan, I'd say 'no thanks"

This doesn't mean that he will be traded, I assume. I am not entirely shocked or dissapointed in trading Jason Richardson, especially if the deal is right. And of course if no proposal calls for a deal to be made, then the team still has JRich which isn't bad. I think if Jason Richardson is dealt to the two teams he'd like to be traded to (if he is going to be dealt), then there will probably have to be another team or two to make it a three or four team deal.

Yeah, this idiot is talking about Jrich only averaging 14pts per game when just last year he averaged 23ppg. In fact, I dont think Jrich's career numbers are 14ppg. Jrich is not a complete player, but he is a borderline all star. Deng is a budding star who has yet to live up to the hype of his draft status...

I really doubt the credibility of this article and I'm sure his friends were quoted completely out of context, if infact JRich made those statements.

The Warriors are completely focused on making it back to the playoffs, and there's too, much uncertainty left before the Warriors would even discuss trading JRich openly with him.

The league hasn't even announced what the NBA Salary Cap is going to be for next season, and the Warriors don't have to worry about extending Monta until the 2008/2009 season.

    All this is premature talk.

You are a homer. Granted, I have only seen the occassional game vs the Warriors and on WGN, but from what I have seen, I am not impressed. I love his length, but he is like Dunleavy in the way that he disappears on the court. He has the physicals tools to dominate, yet he leaves something to be desired...

If Detriot losses Billups, then maybe he might be traded to detriot. But the way the roster is right now, i really do not know why either the Bulls or Pistons wuld want J-Rich. But, ya maybe they should put J-Rich on the market this summer and get some one good in his spot.

I am far from a Homer. But Deng has been the best player this season for the Bulls.

I don't want to lose Jrich, but if we do, I wouldn't make Ellis the de facto starting shooting guard. He's too small and underweight. He's got to be a point or else he's a combo dude off the bench or he's the Derek Fisher/Darrell Armstrong for a Kobe Bryant/T-mac type player at shooting guard. Ellis just isn't ready to be a guy who can guard big twos for 82 games a season. He will get injured too much.

Yeah, I would think that Stephen Jackson would be the SG and maybe resign Pietrus to be SF? Or maybe Powell starts at PF and Harrington at SF? idk... I think the draft could also answer this question, when it comes.

Yeah... I mean Ellis was guarding twos for a time, but it's just really difficult for him to play it when we need a balanced matchup between quickness, strength and height. I think Sjax could play some two because he is a tall swingman, but he's not really that quick for shooting guard. Quick enough, I guess, like a Mike Miller who can play it at duty.

Pietrus and Sjax seem pretty good (in theory for man-to-man defensive matchups), but I worry about bonehead turnovers or dumb fouls or lapses in defense. The plus side is Pietrus is really quick for 6'6" and he rebounds well and if he can make his foul shots, he could be a factor at the line. But he just isn't... Sjax is kind of streaky too... Man , if only Ellis was 6'5 and 200 lbs. Either that or we trade Baron Davis for a passing shooting guard. Vinsanity or Paul Pierce, anyone? I wouldn't want them that much, but maybe Pierce. Very similar to Jrich but better.

Re-sign Pietrus? Hell no! The way he has fizzled out this year, Mullin better THANK THE GODS he didn't give Pietrus one of those Dunleavy/Foyle/Fisher type contracts last year. I mean can you imagine if last year Mully gave Pietrus 5 yrs 40 mils? This team would be doomed.

No, resigning Pietrus is just not an option, unless he wants 3 years 12 mils.

Well uh...the article was a bunch of bull. Like i said earlier we're actually making..well were making strides to the playoffs and this article comes out and just throws everyone off balance. Janny Hu caught up with Jrich and asked him and this is what he had to say
"I don't even have family in Chicago, so I don't know how they got that. That's not true at all," said Richardson, a Michigan native. "I mean, everybody's playing good and we're trying to make the playoffs and you throw something like that out there? People are calling me, my teammates, like, 'Where did that come from?'

How about J-Rich and our first round pick for Pau Gasol in the offseason? Seems fairly realistic and the Grizzlies need a SG and want to re-build with better cap situation and picks. They'll come away with a lineup of FA PG/J-Rich/Gay/Warrick/Oden? plus still have Mike Miller, Swift, Lowry, Johnson and GS' 1st round pick (Law?, Thornton?, Hibbert?) off the bench. We'll have Baron/Monta/Jackson/Pau/Biedrins with Harrington as super-sub.
