These are two articles that are about other teams but they both have to do with the Magic in some way.

Richardson and Lee Out for Season?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There's no assurance either Quentin Richardson or David Lee will return for the Knicks this season, the New York Post is reporting.

Richardson avoided reporters for a seventh straight day, sitting out last night again, raising speculation he's finished.

During practice and shootaround at their Westchester compound, he has hidden in the locker room, supposedly getting treatment. Last night, Richardson again was requested by the press and declined to come out, spending the availability session hiding in the trainer's room. It his aberrant behavior for a player normally very accessible.

Lee, meanwhile, has shut it down again for an indefinite time, and revealed Kicks doctors will make the next call on when and if he plays this season - a sign Lee's overzealousness led him to coming back too early on Friday.

Lee played just 10 minutes Friday.

"I was pretty much in pain for 48 hours," Lee said. "After reviewing that with the doctors, it probably indicates it's not ready to go. And I don't have a timetable right now. I'm laying off it a bit and be back as soon as I can."

Lee said he won't make the decision next time.

"(The doctors) want to keep reviewing it," Lee said. "They'll let me know when I'm ready to go. It wasn't a mistake. I did it for the right reasons."</div>

Since the Knicks are trying to make a push for the playoffs and are in the group of teams competing with the Magic for the seventh and eighth seed, I think this is great news. David Lee is their energizer and arguably their most productive player. Richardson missing the rest of the season also hurts them. Hopefully this causes them to lose some extra games which gives the Magic an edge.

This next article kinda sucks for us Magic fans who envisioned Steve Blake signing here over the off-season.

Coach Karl Wants Steve Blake Back Next Year

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Count George Karl as someone that is hopeful the Nuggets will re-sign point Steve Blake when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

"I don't think there's any question we're very interested in putting him on our team next year," Karl said. "He's been impressive, a lot better than I thought."</div>

Looks like the Nuggets really want to keep the kid. I mean, can you blame them? He's played awesome over there and he's been able to fill the distributor role very well. Hopefully he explores some other options this summer and we can at least give him an offer.
