Post up random thoughts about the Raptors that you don't want to bother making a whole thread about.

They remind me of the 02-03 Knicks since they love to shoot jumpers all the time.

How'd you get in here? lol.

Ya they definately are pretty similar. The raptors team in the past had the over reliance on the jumper happening too. However, they could actually rebound and play defense, unlike today's team.

I can't remember the last time we haven't had a team that shoots a lot. Seriously, does anyone think the "consecutive games with a 3 pointer" streak will ever end?

Do you guys think Chuck really knows what "onions" are? I keep thinking of him as saying: "Testicles, baby! Testicles! Chris Bosh has big testicles!"

I'm pretty sure that is exactly what he's trying to say. Thats what he means right? Big time shot, means they got big balls lol.

Chris Bosh is throwing the opening pitch tonight for the Blue Jays game. Apparently he played baseball in high school, so hopefully he won't embarrass himself like the Cincinnati mayor.

Bosh threw a nice one. Vernon Wells had to stand on a chair to take a picture with him haha.

Whole Raptors team at the game in a luxury suite.

Anyone got a recap of the Sixers vs. Raptors series?

Also, has anyone gotten Playoff tickets yet? Via Raptors Insider or SSH

Ok random thought: Since Bargnani has been out of the lineup we've done really well and improved our rebounding. I've come to the conclusion that as good of an outside shooter as Bargnani is we have enough guys who can shoot the 3 on this team ... should we send him inside and force him to scrap for rebounds? Or keep him on the outside and compensate with a tough SF who can rebound? (think Joey Graham but with consistency).

Why even have Bargnani on the floor if you're just going to force him to do something he's not good at (yet)? If you're just going to do that then might as well put Humphries in.

Seeing as how we've improved our rebounding recently pretty dramatically since Bargs has been out (I think we know why that is), I believe we should cut down some of Bargnani's minutes in the playoffs and give some to Humphries. As you've said, we have enough decent shooters right now and rebounding will be at a premium in the playoffs.

I agree we don't want to "Darko" Bargnani (force him to become something he's not). At the same time we give up a lot of inside presence on offense when he's on the floor. Defensive rebounding he's improved a lot over the year but still isn't fantastic.

If he could shoot the mid-range more as opposed to so many 3's i'd be comfortable.

Its too late in the season to put him in situations that will help him develop, IMO. We just need to let him play to his strengths when he's on the court and next season we can start playing him down low every once in a while. Hopefully he's coming off the bench for Chris Bosh, because his weaknesses aren't as glaring in that situation. Aside from the rebounding, Bargnani isn't much worse defensively and is much more versatile on offense.

On the plus side, I just learned that I'm going to Sunday's game against the Knicks. Basically gave up on getting playoff tickets (too much money and hassle), so I figured I'd grab a regular season game that both teams would care about. Should be cool to see Andrea's return.
