Good for McNair. No situation is worse than being somewhere you are no longer wanted. I heard it was for 4th in '07 and could be 3rd if certain conditions are met.
I think the Ravens are a playoff team now. I don't like the Bengals chances without Palmer to start the season.
Man the AFC North is going be good this year. The SB champs the steelers, the Ravens who now with steve mcnair and a great defense, the bengals who are always contending if palmer is healthy, and the browns with all their acquistions. Its going to be a good battle between the NFC South and the AFC North.
McNair passes physical and now makes his becoming a Raven official. It will be real interesting to see Billick can do with an accomplished QB. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MKIV_Supra)</div><div class='quotemain'>By adding him alone, he just added at least 3 wins to our record this year.</div> I don't know that I'd go that far but having chemistry w/ Mason and weapons like Jamal and Heap certainly doesn't hurt.
McNair is probably my 3rd or 4th fav qb My list of active QB favs goes as follows Favre(whoda thunk it ) Carson Palmer McNair Eli Manning Chad Pennington Honroable Mentions Byron Leftwhich, Peyton Manning, Chris Simms, and Drew Bledsoe

I think the only thing hurting that team is the offensive line. Besides Johnathan Ogden they dont have that great of a line. Jamal couldnt get much space last year, so hopefully their yound players step up on that oline
Can McNair play 16 games though? I know that everyone here is aware of his injury history, but the reality is that he won't finish the season healthy. And he's not in his 20's so his healing time has gotten longer. I think he'll be in trouble.... and therefore the Ravens will not do as well when he's not healthy.

According to the chart above, McNair has missed roughly 2 games a year for the last 9 seasons. The OL being more consistent will help as will the D returning to dominance as they were a few years ago.

But what really is exciting is the fact that the Ravens are reverting back to the 4-3 where Ray is basically the dominating one. But I have doubts about it with the fact that he isn't 100% and isn't going to be as fast as he used to.

Cincy will be on the outside looking in and the Ravens and Steelers are now playoff teams. McNair brings leadership and is a former MVP. The Ravens finally got a QB and before it was no mystery that, the Ravens were a QB away McNair will play the majority of the games. If he misses 2 or 3 that's still 13 or 14 with him and without Boller. With Anderson and Lewis in the backfield. Heap at TE. Mason and Clayton at WR's, this offense is much improved. If the defense stays healthy I think they'll give Pitt a run at the divsion title. I think this was the biggest move of the off season in terms of putting a team over. AFC is a very good race once again. Can hardly wait.
Carson is said to be looking at a week one start right now, hes was not wearing his brace at the last several practices and was throwing, The Bengals are gonna be a abetter team this year but will find it harder to win with an intense scheduale however as of now I see them winning the division with the Steelers and Ravens fighting for second,
Celeavland will still bea very competitve team this year though and if the planets line up right, a play off birth isnt too much of a stretch.
Oh I forgot Cleveland is in that division. I do like Romeo Crenall though and some say overall they may of had one of the better offseasons. Charlie Fryre could be the weak spot though. If McNair stays healthy the Ravens D could have one more good year left. Otherwise I think Lewis is aging and they're losing their swagger
