<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>...say this much for Vick, the former college quarterback who was signed by Miami as an undrafted free agent following a sometimes tumultuous tenure at Virginia Tech, and who is trying to make the transition to wide receiver: When it comes to catching the football, Vick seems to be, well, catching on.

He caught five passes in the team segments of the workout, two of them under duress, one on which he nestled down between a pair of defenders in the middle of the field, and latched on to a bullet delivered by free agent rookie quarterback Justin Holland. Vick lined up at quarterback for a few snaps and, while he looks perilously tiny in the pocket, completed one pass. Vick also fielded punts.

Miami scouts and coaches seem to think Vick is a better athlete than many teams had him pegged... taking a look at a player with his athleticism, and with basically no financial risk involved, might be worth the gamble</div>

I'd wait til at least pre season before I jump on the Marcus Vick as a WR bandwagon. It's not that hard to catch a football without pads and he is a good athlete.

    Totally agreed.

If this does pan out, Saban is going to look like a genius. Well, smarter than Millen anyway. LOL.

Yeah I'm sitting at my computer and typing this post, and yet I'm looking smarter than Millen. You guys should try to.

I was smarter than Millen when I was in elementary school.

Seriously...So far so good w/ Vick. Given that Miami drafted 2 WR's, I don't know how long Marcus will be a 'phin. He might make the practice squad.

I wonder if his brother had a talk with him. Marcus is behaving so far. He hasn't had any TO like episodes yet. If only Nick could do as well w/ Manny Wright as he is w/ Marcus.
