    The U2 line was not bad. Plus The Bangles:

    I wish it was Sunday

    That's my fun day

    My I-don't-have-to-run day

    That is not bad lyrics, that is good pop lyrics written by Prince. Whoever wrote this article wishes he had U2 or Prince level talent. just another hater

    Some of those weren't THAT bad. Some rap lyrics are downright horrible though.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
    Girl you workin with some ass yeah, you bad yeah
    Make a ***** spend his cash yeah, his last yeah
    Hoes frown when you pass yeah, they mad yeah
    You gon' ride in the Jag yeah, with that head
    You could smoke or buy a bag yeah, of grass yeah
    Got money I can flash yeah, and trash yeah
    I'ma Big Tymer ***** yeah, pull the trigger yeah
    A playa hata flipper yeah, grave filla yeah
    I be slangin wood yeah, out the hood yeah
    Let it be understood yeah, it's all good yeah
    Got a ***** scheamin large yeah, on the hard yeah
    A smooth little broad yeah from out the projects
    A ***** do a trick yeah, on the dick yeah
    You claimin you want a picture, that ain't **** yeah
    The ***** with the money yeah, don't act funny yeah
    Got birds and I'm runnin yeah, bout a hundred yeah
    </div>

    That's gotta be a record for the number of times he rhymed "yeah" with "yeah".

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
    Big thick plumber chick, and a Hummer chick
    Beat the dick like a motherfuckin drummer chick
    See dat puddy-cat? Look at dat
    I love a fuckin hoodie-rat, that's a fact
    You'se a motherfuckin get it girl, quit it girl
    I'm the *****, the *****, *****, that hit it girl
    </div>

    Juvenille's "Back That Ass Up" is perhaps the worst lyrical song of all time.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
    They call me Edi.
    From the southern city.
    </div>

    Keep in mind "city" is pronounced "CD" to rhyme.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
    Fresh like, unhh; Impala, unnh
    Chrome hyrdolics, 808 drums
    </div>

    WTF is the point of naming the drum kicks/snares the beat uses?

    I don't think there's enough space on this forum to list all the mind-numbing rap lyrics actually. I was going to list more after "Jesus Walks," but then I realized that I'd have to basically list off all the songs on my rap playlist.

    Plus, you'd start a huge controversy. Rap is full of atrocious lyrics that are supposed to be "hot"

    Listing the 20 worst lyrics will always be harder than listing the 20 best. There's just so much crap out there. Nice find, M.

    Lol, what a ****** comment.

    Anyway, as for the greatest lyric? Hmm... there are really a lot of things that make lyrics great, whether it be their message, their poetic qualities, or something else along those lines. I've always liked this one by Anthony Kiedis just because of how poetic I thought it was -

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Anthony Kiedis:</div><div class="quote_post">Miles and miles of nether worlds I roam.
    Settle for love you're never far from home,
    Carry me down into the waters of love,

    Both "rock" and "rap" have their fair share of idiots that write lyrics. You, just like Mamba, only rank one higher then the other become you have different interests. Now can we all stop the arguing of rap and rock on here? Otherwise there's going to be more thread cleaning to do with a topic of discussion between two genres of music that can't even be compared to begin with.

    Trust me, I'm not ranking anyone higher than the other. Mamba said rap is full of atrocious lyrics and I'm saying pretty much all genres including rock is full of atrocious lyrics too as evident in the list.

    That's basically what I just wrote. When I asked to stop the arguing after I wasn't pointing that at you though, sorry if you thought that man. I meant all of us. Anyway, all genres of music have their fair share of trash music and lyrics. That's just how it is.

    No, I'm not. I said rock has atrocious lyrics too. What's to argue about?
