<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Paul Pierce has had a rough season with the Celtics and shared his feelings about his recognition, his future and what Boston will do this summer.

"It's definitely another year gone by for me," Pierce told the Boston Herald in an interview published Friday. "It's another year we don't get into the postseason. It's another year I don't get recognized for the things I do. I'm the classic case of a great player on a bad team, and it stinks."

Pierce, a five-time All-Star, has suffered through injuries and an 18-game losing streak by Boston this season. Despite those difficulties, Pierce has managed to average 25 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.</div>

Yeah, he hates it so much that he just signed a contract extension before the season.

I'd deal Odom for Pierce and Powe! I always felt Pierce would be a great option alongside Kobe Bryant. The Triangle offense would thrive with those two, because both Kobe and Pierce can score from anywhere on the court.

It sucks Paul Pierce is one of my favorite players but since Boston is never on national tv I never get to see him play anymore, people always talk about Kevin Garnett's misfortune but seem to forget Paul Pierce who hasn't had anymore playoff success the KG.

Pierce has had more success than Garnett in the playoffs

Hmm one trip to the Conference Finals? Doesn't seem like much to me. Lets me note that Garnett has played in 10 more playoff games. Make sure you know the facts next time before correcting me.

Paul Pierce went to the Conference Finals twice, Garnett once. That's what I was basing it on. Sorry for the confusion

I knew what you were basing it on I'm just telling you Paul Pierce went to the Conference Finals once in '02 against the Nets, I may be wrong but I can't recall any other year he made it. But basically what it comes down to is Kevin Garnett has spent 12 NBA seasons only to get to the Conference Finals once, and it Paul Pierce 9 seasons. They are wasting their career on bad teams. I think they both should be traded for their own good.

He made the Conference Finals with the Celtics in consecutive years, only to get eliminated by the Nets both times. But yeah, I get your point

He is a good player...Since he has a contract extension, he will need to whip his teammates into shape for next season.

Lol thats a championship team right there. If that happened, we would see a couple more of Laker Championships and some MVP's for Kobe. [IMG]

Kidd, Pierce, and Kobe...that is expensive. A dominating team, but expensive.

lol it reminds me of a slightly improved New Jersey team, costing more, and possibly less depth at the big men positions.

Next year it would cost approx:

    Kidd: 19.7
    Kobe: 19.5
    Pierce: 16.3

56 million for 3 players lol.

I think the Lakers would have to trade away everyone to match salaries (Odom/Kwame/picks/Radmon/Walton/Cook/Bynum)

    PG: Kidd/Smush
    SG: Kobe/Evans
    SF: Paul Pierce
    PF: Aaron Mckie?
    C: Turiaf

It's a long shot. But I have to disagree with the "slightly improved New Jersey team". A trio of Kobe, Kidd and Pierce is way better than a Kidd, Carter and Jefferson trio.
