<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MILWAUKEE -- The Washington Wizards might be without All-Star forward Caron Butler for the playoffs.

Butler scored 19 points before he broke his right hand Sunday midway through the third quarter during the Wizards' game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

"Second round, third round, a possibility," Butler said after the game. "But right now, I probably won't have a jersey on until next year."

Butler said that the accident happened when he went up to challenge a shot by Ruben Patterson and his right hand hit the backboard. He was playing in his third game back since missing six with a left knee contusion.

"My hand caught under the rim, and it popped out of place," Butler said.

"I see a hand specialist tomorrow," Butler said. "Hopefully, I'll get the opportunity to come back as soon as possible."</div>

Man, this is just messed up. He's gonna be out for the rest of the season and the Wizards simply just cannot win without Caron Butler. Our bench hasn't proven that they can come on the floor and contribute as well as the starters. Jarvis Hayes and Calvin Booth played pretty well, but they need to show that for the rest of the season. Haywood needs to stop bitching and just do his thing because he's going to be sharing minutes with Etan wether he's starting or not.

He's definitely the glue guy and without him, I see another disappointing first round exit for the 'Zards.

Yea he's the glue guy but we don't need him to get out of the first round. Jamison is still our 3rd leading scoring and our most proven robin to gilberts superman. We'll be fine but I hope he returns soon

Hello, we're 2-12 without Caron Butler. The Wizards aren't going to get much out of Gilbert if he's going to be forced to shoot 35-40 times a game, and even with Caron playing, the Wizards have still proven that can't take care of leads and play defense.

It makes no sense to think negative. IF hayes played like he did yesterday we'll be fine. When we didn't have butler jamison was just gettin back from being hurt. Somebody will step up my guess is hayes and butlers been hurt almost the whole second half so finding a way to play without him won't come that hard this time. We can't get worse than 2-10 and playing the bobcats the first 2 games is great practice for us to find that new man
