http://www.nba.com/media/kobe21_600_070330.jpg"> I To put it in perspective, compare how high he is off the ground to Shane Battier. Just ridiculous, sometimes I wish I was black and I could jump as high as Kobe, LOL.
lol I just can't get over this, on a freaking FADEAWAY he gets that high. No wonder no one blocks his shots, that's just not fair.
I dont think the defender can get as high as the shooter ... because the defender doesn't want to foul. But that is pretty high ..
All i can say is that i can jump higher on a jumpshot compared to a layup even if i come of 2 feet on a fastbreak... Im a bit wierded out by it, but what hell its ayyt...

I think someone posted this link here before look at this video.... look at around 40 seconds mark Notice T-Mac's face.... http://www.dailymotion.com/search/kobe%20b...l-out-d-by-ls09
Yeah, his jumper is too sick, i also saw a picture of a game winner in PHX in game 4. Then he had also great elevation and i was amazed. I haven't seen someone who elevates as much as Kobe OR Iverson when shooting. I have to practice my jumper too, i just can't elevate :/
Thats pretty damn high, I wanna see this for other players too. Pics like these... Tmac, wade... i wanna see how high they jump.
First of all, I'm not familiar with too many college players, SB6? Dude can jump pretty high Second, completely different situation. This guy wasn't fading away, was shooting a half court shot, and his feet are NOT straight. Kobe's shot was in the 4th quarter, a fade-away with defenders on him, and his body and legs were COMPLETELY straight. Nice try, though.

<div class="quote_poster">Voodoo Child Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">THIS is elevation -And yes, he made the shot.</div> Age difference and situation is different also. I still think Kobe's vert is more impressive considering the circumstances but that dude does have some serious hops. Now will he still have those hops at 28 is the question while doing a fadeaway jumper!
<div class="quote_poster">Pakman Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">DEFENDER, not defenderS. daaaam dude, get off his peice.</div> My bad, DEFENDER, typo, it happens. I just posted this reply like 1 minute ago, and dude who isn't even a Lakers fan is around this forum more than me. Lastly, ask around, I'm no Kobe nut hugger. He is my favorite player on my favorite team, but unlike others, I don't believe he does no wrong and I criticize him just as much as I praise him. That SB6 dude's shot was COMPLETELY different than Kobe. If you're comparing a fade-away shot to a hail mary half-court shot than I dunno what else to say.

It was a transition three, which he drained. He slowed and nearly came to a stop before jumping like that. I've got tons of pics of him on my computer back home where he's touching the top of the backboard --- the kid has hops. Anyway, not trying to compare Brown to Kobe, just thought that pic was cool and wanted to share.
