    Andrea Bargnani vs Andrew Bogut.

    Who is better?
Which player would you rather have on your team and why?

They play different roles, so it's hard to decide. Bogut is a center type who's constricted to the paint, while Bargnani can also play on the perimeter. It's hard to say who's better now, but for the long run, I'd take Bargnani because IMO he has more potential.

didnt bogut average like 20 points and 10 rebounds in college, player of the year, led australia to the junior olympic championship win, bargnani played in europe and didnt average very good numbers. bogut is a center and bargnani is a SF, there are planty of sf around the place, but centers, good centers are hard to come by. bogut also hasnt had much of a chance to prove himself when terry stotts was his coach, which is basically his whole nba career. guards could florish in stotts' system, but the center is a bit neglected, atleast that was my impression. i would rather have bogut, just because a good center is quite rare in this league.

True, Centers are hard to come by these days.

But I think its much harder to find a 7 footer who can sink 3 balls.

Here's a video of Bargnani, go youtube his name and you'll find a bunch of other vids.

The best part was at the end, where he went bananas on Houston.

Bargnani, easily. We are talking about a guy who is 7 feet, can shoot the 3, and can put the ball on the floor. Bogut will be a good player, but Bargnani will be way ahead of him IMO.

If Bargnanai develops a post game and adds muscle, i dont see why he couldnt be one of the top players in the league. The key for him is expanding his game to becoming more than a jump shooter.

I would pick Bargnani. Don't get me wrong, Bogut is a good player, I just think Bargz has more potential to become a better all around player.

He is a 7 footer with a smooth jumpshot. He extends the defense and can get open. He is putting the ball on the floor more and more times now and trying to establish a solid post game. In the video hustler posted you can see that he does a lot of things 7 footers can't.

He also has a great sense and can make those bullet passes. I remember this one play where he made this amazing pass on the fastbreak. He received the pass under the net while on the run and caught it jumping and before landing he bounced passed it off the floor for an alley-oop to Chris Bosh. But he missed it.

I just think AB7 is the more complete player.

They play different roles, both have tremenous talent and have a big future in the NBA. I've studied Bargnani more then Bogut (International) so I have a far better opinion of him. I've always been high on the guy, he's going to be an amazing player.

It depends on what type of situation your team is in. But in the end, I'd put my money on Bargnani being the better player. He's much more versatile than Bogut and I've been impressed with his learning curve and desire to improve. Right now, he's more of a power forward that shoots the 3 or takes his man off the dribble. But, he's improved upon his rebounding from the beginning of the season, his defense is more fundamentally sound, and he's shown the beginnings of a post game. Colangelo predicted him to be a center when he drafted him and I think its very possible.

I don't know why, but for some reason I'd want Bogut more, just because he is more of the traditional low post center than Bargnani is.

Although both are young players, and I have no clue how they will turn out. I haven't really seen enough of Bogut to know what he brings.

Now that I think of it, I've seen some pretty good performances from Bargnani, so I'm no longer sure who I'd want.

It's a tough call. I really like Bogut's game, he does a lot of stuff down low that a lot of big men coming into the league now will not. He's was in a terrible situation with the Bucks before where he never got the ball in the offense (haven't seen them play since the coach was fired).

Agreed. 7 foot shooters seem to be gamblers these days in the draft, but Bargnani seems to be the real deal. It`s also a great start on Bryan Colangelo`s part.

I'd still go with Bargnani. He just looks so fluid with the ball like a guard does as opposed to just about every other big man (except Odom & KG), plus he can hit the three with ease like Dirk. His defense has improved since the beginning of the year and his rebounding is solid. He can be an all star for years to come and he and Bosh will make an amazing tandem (imagine having to face Bosh, 6"11' and Bargnani 7"0'... wow).

Bynum lacks the explosiveness someone like Howard has. He's a really good shotblocker with good instincts on the defensive end though. I just think he'll be the superstar everyone hopes him to bein LA.

lol, all the A.B.'s. I'd still go with Bargnani and I'd rank them something like this:

    1. Andrea Bargnani
    2. Andrew Bogut
    3. Andris Biedrin
    4. Andrew Bynum
