Why keep Vince.. lol.. "one of the best players in the NBA." Maybe he could have been, but not anymore. They should trade him before he losses his value. There are alot of teams that would want him. Also, trade Jason Kidd, he too will lose his value after this season.

And I agree with Kidd getting traded. I would love to see him get a ring before he retires, but I wanna see Vince get one too.
Why trade kidd, and carter!!! one of the best point guards in the league and carter is big help for the team. they need to get another coach. 2 straight nba finals under byron scott's coaching. even with k-mart in vince's place. with vc they should be better, they just need a new coach.
Yea, I think Vince is one of the best offensively talented SGs, probably top 5, in the league still. His passing is pretty good as well.
^Agreed. I think Kidd has to go. Unless NJ doesn`t do anything drastic with their team, I see no reason why keeping Kidd.
I think the team needs to be blown up either way. I mean, so if they retain Carter and give him his big contract, realistically how successful can they be? They still have too much money tied up in the guard positions to significantly strengthen up their frontcourt. And their top 2 players are beginning to age, which means the window of opportunity is about 2-3 seasons. Factor in the young teams in the East that are beginning to rise up, and I don't see how this team can be anything better than a 5-6 seed in the playoffs and a 2nd round exit. They need to recognize this now, so that they can get something for the pieces they have and jump start the rebuilding process.

Kidd was and still is this season one of the best PG in the league, but he is getting old. This is the season they should trade him to get a good value for him. Carter is not a big help for the team. He gives up on his team. That's not a big help. As for getting a better coach, i agree. But, the east sucked the two years they got to the finals. Last year was there year to do something and they did not. The Nets as a franchise should do what the Sixers are doing.
