But he doesn't think Boone is anywhere near an NBA caliber big man, even after a week where he averaged 15 ppg and 7 rpg. "He has no jumper or post game, he still has weak hands, and he still has no upper body", says Dave who adds "He is years away from being a finished product." Dave concedes the most likely scenario for 2007-08 is the Nets keep the core "after they cannot find a sign-and-trade for Carter that is agreeable to all parties involved".</div> Source
I may sound crazy, but I want this kid to start over Collins. Collins can't do **** with the minutes he has received, so why not put him on the bench and give Boone a chance to shine. Who knows, this may produce into some wins.

Call me old fashion but I don't want a guy with his athleticism and quickness to ever learn a jumpshot. Stay in the post and bang, it'll be more beneficial to him. Too many players these days fall in love with their jumpshots, and I rather him getting a basket 5 ft away from the basket than 10-15 ft away. It's just more efficient and the way it should be. Too many power forward/centers waste their time trying to be guards in this league.
