The Raptors visit the Miami Heat on Tuesday in a matchup between Eastern Conference teams jockeying for postseason position. Toronto (41-32) has won five of its last six games to guarantee at least a .500 finish for the first time since 2001-02, but the Raptors have their sights set on loftier goals. "It's general excitement right now because we still have two more goals ahead of us," said Chris Bosh, who is averaging 24.7 points and 16.0 rebounds during the team's three-game winning streak. "We want to get home court advantage and we want to lock up the Atlantic Division. We still have nine more games to play and we have to concentrate and focus on each game until we clinch both." </div> <div align="center">Link</div>
End of 1st Quarter. Score is 25-30 Raptors losing so far. Rasho 10 points 2 rebounds, 5-5 from the field. Rasho exploding in the first quarter.
No one outside of Rasho and bosh can make a shot, which is quite bad. You'd think that since they are the only people consistently getting points they would get the ball? Apparently not since Dixon and Ford feel they need to shoot every time down the floor. We bench Mopete for taking some bad shots but Dixon can jack away for a quarter and Mitchell doesn't even bother looking twice? I understand the raptors are closing in on O'neil, but Bosh has got to close out on Haslem. He looks pretty stupid giving up the number of jumpers he is right now.
Awesome, no more Chuck and Leo. We're scoring well, but our defense is terrible. Rasho's the only one playing with intensity on the defensive end.
What happened to the raptors feed? I just tuned back in 1/2 way through the fourth and it's sun sports. Not that i'm complaining! I'm just wondering what happened with the raptors feed?
They had technical difficulties with our broadcast (and showed Women's NCAA for a while). Eventually they just decided to replace it with Miami's feed. Not sure if its permanent, but I'm enjoying it.
I don't know about you guys but I'm liking Luke Jackson enough to give him Dixon's minutes. The guy will actually share the ball and pass up a shot, it's great! Oh, and he shoots better than Dixon as well.
<div class="quote_poster">hustler Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Juan Dixon<Luke Jackson</div> I agree completely. What the hell is it with Mitchell and that freaking play ?? make it stop already !!!
Hahahahaha. Why the hell did Sam put TJ in the game? Was there any doubt that TJ was gonna take both of those shots? Was there any doubt that he was going to miss both of those shots? Its like I have a crystal ball....no wait, Tj always does that crap. THATS THE STUFF THAT DRIVES ME NUTS. I HATE TJ BTW...is Jackson eligable to play in the Playoffs?
really question the TJ ford sub at the end of game with 17 seconds left he had sat on the bench for the last 13 minutes. The kid Luke Jackson can play.
Someone tell me why Sam Mitchell comes up with two of the most retarded plays for our two most important possessions of the game? Genius play by gettin TJ to shoot the ball within like 5 seconds after the inbound, with 26 seconds left. Thennn he doesn't even draw up a proper play to get Luke, Parker or Mo open, leaving Ford to take the three. I don't really understand why Ford was even in the game on that possession, Calderon is a much better long range shooter. I'm guessing the plan wasn't to have Ford shoot the three, but Calderon is a better plan b or c than Ford.
Meh .. i'll accept this loss. It was nice to see Luke Jackson hit is shots and not force his game within the offense. Which is a point a few guys on our team seem to be missing. I still can't get over the TJ Ford drive out of a time out. Are you kidding me? That was the play? It's always the play! I still can't believe it. Miami played it perfectly too .. everyone stuck perfectly to their man and TJ's defender gave him plenty of space so he wouldn't be blowing by him. But here's the real question: Since when has TJ Ford been able to finish at the rim with players in the lane? Seriously the guy can not hit a layup if there is the slightest bit of contact ... Which makes this playcall even more strange...
What was TJ doing shooting that....... He shot 2-13 for the game, and Mitchell wants to give him the last shot? Mo-pete should of been taking that 3 ball. TJ is the last person I would want shooting a 3.
