Although, he is a great energy guy, and is going to be solid in the NBA. However, the ceiling for him is not too high, I'd say he is bumping his head on it right now. He is a guy who goes all out when he is on the court, and playing like that in college with his size/skill set he was able to be successful. In the NBA he will be a role player (at most) and nothing more IMO.</div> I have a similar opinion, but I was going on about how some people believe that he won't amount to anything at all. That I don't understand. He may end up being at best averaging 12 to 14 PPG and 6 to 9 RPG. Although, I don't think we can accurately describe how he will play in the NBA until he steps onto the court. I have a bit more patience for him since he brings a lot of energy. <div class="quote_poster">MrJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">but if you are trying to "<font color=""Red"">cover all angles</font>" be my guest. I just think it would be more worthwhile to talk about some of the players likely to land <font color=""Red"">8-16</font>.</div> Yeah, all angles. lol
I think a lot will depend on where he ends up. I think he'd be a pretty valuable player on a fast-paced team, because he rebounds real well and he can get most of his points by hustling or from put backs. In a more traditional, half-court offense, his undeveloped offense will be exposed and he definitely won't be much more than a role player.

<div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Definitely, but could any of those teams actually get a hold of him? Only in a trade no doubt.</div> As long as it isn't in the top 3, Phoenix gets Atlanta's lottery pick (Boris Diaw trade).
It would be a fantastic dillemma to have if you're Chicago. Maybe there's an outside chance you can trade with Memphis for Gasol and obtain their first rounder for the rights to Oden or Durant. The problem with KG or JO, is the fact their salaries don't justify their production at this point in their careers. It's difficult to build a post season team around them, because your salary cap options are limited. Gasol makes $8M less than either player and would be the inside post presence the Bulls lack.
<div class="quote_poster">MrJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">How will the Bulls acquire Gasol AND a top 2 pick?</div> He meant that if the Bulls got the higher pick they could trade the player Memphis wants (Oden or Durant) for Gasol and their first round pick or Memphis could take their pick and draft for the Bulls and then make the trade.

i have a question? If we get a 7th-8th pick are we drafting a post-player just 2 have a post-player? I mean a lot of guys n this draft dont impress much 4 a team that is a playoff team except some guys that will most likely b gone by the 5th pick. I mean in order for us 2 be great we need a post-player right? But if we do get one from the draft they will only play limited minutes at the beginning of the season due 2 Skiles being our coach. How will they help our players get better this season and help our teams record improve especially when we need all the help we can get when we go on our road trip. If Denver is willing 2 trade with us would u trade our 7th pick (if NYK keeps losing and we get that) and sign and trade a guy 2 get Marcus Camby who will play and b a very affective player? I know Camby is not a post-player but he is better than any tall player that is n the draft that will be around a 7th and down pick. All we need is a guy 2 help Ben Wallace who is tall other than Thomas who is doing a fantastic job and can score a little. Also if we trade our pick for a guy thats not a offensive post-player its not the end of the world. im sure both Deng and Thomas will be practicing their post-game over the offseason. Our team doesnt need another rookie. PG-Hinrich/Duhon SG-Gordon/Jones/Sefolosha SF-Deng/Nocioni/Griffin PF-Camby/Thomas/Nocioni C-Wallace/Camby/Brown To me, our team needs 2 get more rebounds, our guys need 2 stop turning the ball over, and get more consistency and thats it. how many teams have gotten a championship with a rookie as their 1st option post-player anyways?
Yeah man I don't want another rookie either (unless it's a lottery pick of course). But I would much rather we use the pick in a trade because you're right that he'll get no playing time and he'd proably be ineffective but who knows. But I see Tyrus being a nice inside presence. And I'm too busy to check in on anything but just to say...I would love Camby.
Wow The Knicks lost again. Well the fact is they may not win another game this year. They are nor 3 1/2 games behind the pacers who are 1 game out of 8th.
nets blow out knicks and crushes their postseason hopes. we are offically in the draft!!!!!!!!! Go Bulls!!!
<div class="quote_poster">Blur Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> The chances just keep increasing...</div> LOL!! Yeah Baby. I told you I can feel it in my bones! either Durant or Oden. I say we start durant at PF if we get him. that solves our inside scoring problem. he would be an amare type PF. Hinrch/duhon Gordon/thabo Deng/Noch Durant/Thomas Wallace/Brown That looks sick right there!!!
If the Bulls draft Oden I will switch from being a Sixer fan to a Bulls fan. lol. That would just be unfair
I thought Oden was going to be the most dominant rookie since Shaq? Now the thinking is trading him for the admittedly decent Pau Gasol and filler?? How did Oden's stock drop like that?
