Even if the Clipper bench never scored..they wouldve won by 1...how sad that we allow all 5 of the Clipper starters to beat our team...plus we got outboarded and I didnt watch the game, but whats with Kobe only taking 4 Free Throws? someone please explain

He missed a lot of key shots. Tough loss man, if we keep this up, forget about the playoffs. The playoff hunt is too close to be wanting the Lakers to lose some games to slip to 7th, they just need to keep winning and hope they even make the playoffs at this point.
Kobe was 2-10 in the 4th quarter and forced shots with three defenders on him. He let his anger get the best of him when the officials weren't giving him the benefit of the doubt on foul calls. Kobe only went to the line 4 times last night and didn't adjust his game to the Clippers defense. Cat Mobley stripped him clean a few times, when Kobe tried to do his spin jumper from the leftside of the free throw elbow. Mobley anticipated Kobe's move and had his arm in place to knock the ball loose. Kobe should have adjusted by sweeping his arms out and upward to draw the reach in foul. The way Kobe played last night is the one I cannot stand watching. Lazy ass defense, and forcing shots when he doesn't have the hot hand. He did shoot the Lakers back into the game, but when the Clippers put more defensive pressure on him, he didn't adjust by getting everyone else involved. The Lakers were killed again on the offensive glass last night. Everytime the Clippers missed, there were white jerseys around the loose ball, creating second chance opportunities. Another sequence I thought really killed us was Jason Hart going 4 for 5 when he came in the game. Jump shot over Smush, jump shot in Smush face, drives to the hoop misses, but Brand cleans it up, jump shot in Smush face, and once again jump shot in Smush face. In the post game Smush gave the excuse he was tired playing back to back. WTF!?! What's even in worse is today we found out the gameplan was for Smush to put defensive pressure on the ball. They emphasized it in practice and Smush couldn't deliver. I hate watching the team lose games like this, but I still want to finish as the 7th seed to face Phoenix in the Round 1. We only have a 1/2 game lead on Denver, and we're tied with them in the loss column. Here's a glance at our remaining schedule: @ SEA PHX @ DEN LAC @ PHX SEA @SAC There's a strong chance we go 2-5 the rest of the way and finish the season at 41-41.
It was an exciting game, albeit the Lakers lost, but it went down to the wire. The Lakers have lost 4 out of 5 games and the injury excuses get old, but they are a reality for this team right now. It's hard to solidify your rotations when you aren't sure who's going to be available until tipoff. Kwame's missed the last two games, and the Lakers are finding it hard to win when he's not on the court. Part of the team's success is contingent on having the size advantage in the post. With Kwame out, the Lakers lose someone who can clog the middle, defend post players, and punish defenders with screens. Kwame does a lot of the dirty work for the Lakers on both ends of the court and Bynum hasn't shown he's ready to fill the void when Kwame is out for us. If you could put Turiaf's fire into Bynum's frame, we'd have something, but right now Bynum's confidence in the toilet. Maybe the Lakers should give him the Jordan Farmar experience and have him play a DLeague game and then suit up for an NBA game on the same night.

I really hope that dosen't happen. I don't think we will drop that low, we can win on all of them but the Suns. But, the way we are playing right now. We just might be 41-41.
Bryant should?ve pass the ball more last night, especially when his jump shots weren?t falling. I know it?s hard to trust you?re teammates when they can?t make open shots but guess what, Kobe has no choice, he has to. You?re gonna have to live and die with you?re teammates anyways, this is not golf or tennis, it?s a team sport. Whether Bryant likes it or not he needs to show more confidence to his teammates, just by passing the ball after they missed a shot gives them confidence. When he?s in a zone, go ahead shoot as much as you want but when you?re not, please involve your teammates Kobe. This post is not intended to bash Kobe, without him we?re a lottery team. I felt he and Odom, let the officiating dictate their decision making in the game. Both spent a lot of energy arguing when they felt they were fouled. Kobe forced the issue trying to get a makeup call and the officials weren't having it. It has to be frustrating to watch Corey Maggette drive out of control 1 on 3 and get the benefit of the foul call, and not get the same calls Maggette was getting all night long. Kobe took 34 shots and only went to the charity stripe 4 times. A lot of his shots were from the perimeter, but Kobe is a master at drawing fouls by getting his defender out of position and caught in the air on the perimeter. What was more concerning was the effect Kobe's frustration had on the defensive end. He was gambling all night long, and leaving his teammates on an island to bail him out. Mobley was wide open on a majority of his shots, because Kobe wasn't rotating over to him to contest and break Mobley's shooting rhythm.
