    A Wizards press release:

Washington Wizards President of Basketball Operations Ernie Grunfeld announced today that guard Gilbert Arenas has sustained a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee, and the tear will be repaired by arthroscopic surgery. Arenas, who suffered the injury in the first quarter of Washington's game vs. Charlotte on April 4, is expected to be out for 2-3 months.

"Gilbert was performing at an elite level," Grunfeld said. "It's unfortunate that this injury occurred, but being the competitor that he is, Gilbert will approach his rehab regimen with the same work ethic that has made him one of the league's most outstanding performers. We expect him to make a full recovery, and we know that his teammates will be up to the challenge to respond in his absence."

Arenas will undergo arthroscopic surgery today at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. The surgery will be performed by Wizards team physician Dr. Marc Connell. Arenas will begin rehabilitation next week, and is expected to make a full recovery. </div>

First Butler (Broken Hand) Now Gilbert. God i Hope we play the wizards first round.

Edit. Right now I see are playoff options taking 3 scenarios

Scenario 1: Everything stays the same and we play the 6th seeded Wizards in rd 1.

Scenario 2: The Heat overtake us for third in the conference and we're left playing either the Bulls or the Caveliers as the 4th/5th seed matchup.

Scenario 3: The Wizards go on a huge losing streak and the New Jersey Nets overtake them for sixth in the East. Raptors (3) vs. Nets (6)

Most Important is that we take care of our business and finish 3rd in the East. Finishing fourth in the east would be devastating in that we would play either the Cavs or the Bulls without the advantage of homecourt.

That's what Bosh said last night. He said it gives the Raptors an insentive to stay the third seed in the East. He also said that they had to win at least 4 of their next 7 seven games to stay ahead of the Heat.

Yea, that's all I was thinking about last night. The problem is our schedule is so much harder than Miami's. We got Philly, Chicago, Minnesota (back2back), Detroit, NY, Detroit, Philly (back2back), while Miami faces Cleveland, Boston (back2back), Charlotte, Charlotte, Washington (back2back, but they're hobbled), Indiana, Boston, and Orlando. We're really going to have to step it up and hopefully catch some teams off-guard. I'm most afraid of the Chicago and NY game, because they both have something to play for.

This gives the Raptors way more of a reason to keep the 3rd seed. We have to play at a new level, and like Chutney stated, our schedule is much harder the Miami's. I think when Bargnani comes back we'll start playing some better ball. I wonder if Luke Jackson will be gone whe AB7 comes back.

Though our remaining schedule is harder, I like that we have more playoff type atmosphere games with the bulls and pistons. with the pressure type atmosphere with its playoff implications, those games can give our guys valuable experience and what to expect in the playoffs. Plus if we can steal those games so close to the playoffs, the confidence will be through the roof. So i guess the next few games are both a blessing and a curse.

arg the Heat won tonight. lebron had a chance to win the game before it went to overtime and took absolutely the worst shot i have seen a player take with the game on the line. He is a great talent but sometimes an exceptionally frustrating player.

I saw that, hughes was open, he just wanted to be the hero. BUt w/e. Having washington would be sweet. If we have the heat, we are pretty screwed, With Dwade possibly coming back, there is tons of pressure to beat the NBA champs.

As a basketball fan i'd love it....as a raptor fan i'm terrified of it.
I think that VC could errupt like a volcano and play very well.
