<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">After one season at Kansas State, Huggins is leaving to become the men's basketball coach at West Virginia, K-State athletic director Tim Weiser said Thursday. "This is a tough day for the entire K-State nation," Weiser said in a written statement. "Bob Huggins did a terrific job during his short tenure to put Kansas State back on the basketball map and we appreciate his efforts. It's a shame that he has decided not to finish the job he started here." Huggins replaces John Beilein, who left to take the Michigan job Tuesday. Before he took over at Kansas State, Huggins coached for 16 seasons at Cincinnati, leading the Bearcats to 14 consecutive NCAA tournaments and one Final Four.</div> Source-->USA Today The coaching musical chairs in college hoops continues.
Where's the loyalty in college basketball these days? I'm so glad that Michigan State has a stable coach in Tom Izzo. It's really got to do with the coach's character and not the reputation of the program. Just look at how Roy Williams hopped from one dynasty to another. Anyway, ethics aside, my question now is, what happens to Bill Walker, Michael Beasley, and all of the other recruits they're bringing in at Kansas State? They all went there because of Huggins and his staff. Even Mayo was contemplating going to WVU if Huggins had been hired there earlier. I wonder if he'll think about opting out of his commitment to Southern Cal. Who knows, maybe this could also mean that Patrick Patterson will be considering WVU again.
And we all wondered how soon KSU would regret signing Huggy Bear... This really is an insult to the players as much as anyone else. Guys like Walker and Beasley wouldn't go to KSU if Huggins isn't there, so he's jerked them around, too. I'm very interested to see how Huggins uses Beilein's kids at WVU, now. If Beasley comes to WVU, it would give the team a real post threat and may make them a top 25 team heading into the season.

Those guys are not only stuck in Manhattan, KS for the next four years, but they're not going have the professional careers that both Walker and Beasley will have either. At least those guys can leave school next year and become instant millionaires.
I didn't really see this coming considering that he's assembled some good talent in 1 year of recruiting for Kansas St. I guess he just got sick of the Big-12 and all their superior talent.....

Also its not like his two kids graduated from UNC either or anything.....................

K well thats your opinion then. not many other peoples. Also heres an article about Beasley http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/...tory?id=2829319 he says hes thinking NC state Memphis and Fl St. right now.

State, Memphis, or FSU. If he goes anywhere, it'll be a professional league other than the NBA or Kansas State.

Bob Huggins is returning home to coach at West Virginia -- where he was born, played basketball, went to college and started his coaching career as a graduate assistant. Any other time, that would be a heartwarming story. Today, though, it's one more reminder that loyalty in sports is as outdated as doing the right thing.</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...06&sportCat=ncb The parallels to Roy Williams continue...
I understand that Huggins went to WVU and that it's his alma mater but where are his loyalties to Kansas State Univesity? Kind of a crushing and unfair blow to Kansas State considering they were the only team last year that was willing to give his arrogant ass a second chance. They wouldn't have hired Huggins if they knew he was going to bolt after one year. That's tough, and THuggins should be ashamed! I hope and pray that he fails miserably at WVU!
