a really big game by ronny
he shows pation and love for game
i think ronny will be an excellent PF, and rigth now, he deserves to start at the center position over bynum

    next season:
    re-sign luke and kwame
sign a PF with the small salary space we have
trade lamar for a good PG (maybe Barbosa, Bibby, Felton, Andre Miller, Steve Francis)
And then, our lineup will be:

PG: A new player, better than Smush [IMG] (Farmar on bench)
SG: Kobe (Evans and Sasha on bench)
    SF: Luke (Radmanovic or Evans)
PF: Turiaf (Cook and our new "sign player")
    C: Bynum (Brown)

I think turiaf should start him with a decent bigman would be a great inside presence. Turiaf is a guy every team wish they had. Hustler. im not saying hes an NBA starter but with your roster he is.

for point guard the lakers will have options in the draft. Acie Law is great player who could be much better than Parker.

I like the role Turiaf is playing now, which is coming off the bench with energy at either PF or C. I don't think he should start for the Lakers, not because he isn't capable of it, but because you would lose his energy from the second unit.

Starting in the NBA is overrated anyways, the minutes which count are who's on the court in crunch time for you. Turiaf should definitely be out there when the game is on the line for this team now and in the future.

As for the PG situation, I think the Lakers have to upgrade via free agency and not the draft. I'd rather the team get an athletic forward in the draft, because this team lacks athleticism on the frontline, and player's who finish above the rim.

There will be a lot of options at PG for the Lakers, I just hope they make the right decision for once with the MLE.

If we could some how get an experienced PG without trading Odom. Then we will have a solid team. Turiaf sholdn't start. He wouldn't give the same energy. I think Bynum can call the starting spot for himself next year. Thats is to say if he makes a big of a jump as in improvement, like he did this year.
    This is what i got:

PG:A solid PG( Bibby, Andre Miller, NOT Francis, Felton)
SG: Kobe, ( Sasha and Evans of bench)
SF: Luke ( Radman of bench)
PF: Lamar ( Cook & Turiaf of bench)
C: Bynum (Kwame or Turiaf of bench)

Energy guys are better off the bench like Shape said, I know I would rather have that shot in the arm somewhere in the middle of the game rather than the start where it could be dulled out by a quick start from another team. I don't think the Lakers would be able to make up for Turiaf's enthusiasm with Brian Cook or any other big men on their bench. Turiaf is one of those rare players that makes your bench a lot more effective IMO So agree with Shape on keeping him on the bench.

Manu is a good example of not starting but playing in crunch time. Not only does it make your bench have that one player that can change a game completely around but he'll be more fresh in crunch time.

The Lakers could always make a run at Sarunas J which would be a great addition to your team. Is it me or do you guys think he'd fit into the triangle offense too? There's always players that are leftovers in free agency that end up contributing to a team, maybe you can get one of those. I doubt the Lakers can get a decent point guard in this year's draft unless they get Dominic James, who might be gone by then depending on his workouts.

I know you Lakers fans will like my 2 cents [IMG]

Edit: I also doubt Odom will get that much in return.....Bibby wouldn't go to a division foe, Andre Miller will stay in Philly with Iggy at the 3, Barbosa is a corner stone for PHX IMO and the Suns don't need another versatile SF, Francis is more of a SG meaning you guys are getting ripped, and Raymond Felton is too young and too value for a team that just picked a SF. The only PG I see moving via trade are probably Billups (S&T), Sarunas J, Marko Jaric, or Earl Watson

Trade Lamar for Francis? Why do that when he's going to get cut at seasons end. We can just sign him after that. Trading for him would be retarded. Plus, Lamar is a MUCH better player than Francis is. Beyond that, you never trade big for small, it never works out in the end. Plus, I highly doubt the Bobcats would be willing to part ways with Felton and take on the huge cap space of Odom. And while I like Miller, he might actually be a downgrade offensively, but at least he knows how to run an offense. And Barbosa isn't a "true" point guard, he's more of a scorer. And again, I doubt the Suns part ways with him. He's their insurance policy if anything happens to Nash and he's likely being groomed to take over in the next couple years when Nash's contract runs out and he retires.
