Out of the upcoming rookie class, who do you see making the biggest/quickest impact in the league. obviously you have oden and durant (if either go), but who else can be effective in the pros. also, who do you see as being the ROY, other than oden/durant?
Greg Oden will make his presence felt on the defensive end early in his rookie campaign, but as far as making an impact early in the league you have to look at the collegiate players that have done it for a long period of time and are ready, physically, to do it on the next level. Guys like Al Horford, Jeff Green, Corey Brewer, Derrick Byars, and Acie Law all come to mind for me. As for ROY, it wouldn't surprise me that if Acie Law lands in a good opportunity that he would be selected. It all depends on where the player ends up, it's way too soon to project a ROY.
My sleeper for this category is Yi Jianlian, I see him playing because of his versatility where ever he goes.....
Ultimately, it'll depend on the situation they go into, but some players definitely have the size, skillset, and intelligence to adapt relatively quickly. I think those college players that have either been in school for a few years or have gone deep in the tournament will make an impact. I also think that there are some international guards who have played in an intense tournament atmosphere and are exposed to the European style, who can produce. Al Horford Corey Brewer Nicolas Batum Aaron Afflalo Acie Law Rudy Fernandez
