so last night (tuesday april 10) i went to see the chili peppers, and they were really amazing. they came at about 9 o'clock with a big jam session with some really cool stuff by frusciante and flea and chads drumming was pounding through the floor, this went for about 5-6 minutes then kiedis came out and started doing his funny cool dancing. they slowly worked their way into "cant stop", and you guys know the start of it, with the guitar, the crowd went insane, so me and my friend ran up into the crowd of about 100 that were in the mosh and made our way into the very front. i was 7 or 8 ft away from frusciante, who im quite obsessive over (in a completely non-sexual way). so the rest of the show was amazing, they played 5 or 6 songs off stadium arcadium, quite a few songs off by the way and a couple off cali. frusciante did his little 'shantells-maybe' cover which was cool. so all in all, this was amazing and im sure most of you are quite jealous of me, oh ueah they ended with give it away and then flea and frusciante did a cool little thing at the end with flea on his trumpet.

The Chilis really are the greatest, especially Frusciante. I love those little solo performances he does in between songs. He really interprets these hard-to-listen-to oldies in a beautiful way. Check out his cover of the Beegees "How Deep Is Your Love?" of all songs -

BTW - Was Josh Klinghoffer there?

Awesome dude. They came to Orlando in January I think but I missed them. [IMG] My friend went to see them and when I found out they were coming to Orlando, I checked on ticketmaster and the only seats left were horrible. I guess I'll have to wait until they come back to FL.

That's musta been crazy though, being close up to Frusciante.

They came to Iowa last month. I opted out on seeing them though and saw Nickelback. Good thing I did too, because I wouldn't have made it to that show. It was about 2hrs away and we had really nasty weather that started on the first and ended around the third of March. I had a friend that was going to go but turned around. Hell, the night of the 1st me and my girlfriend ended up staying in a hotel, despite the fact that I live a mere 20min from where the Nickelback concert was and she wasn't much further.
