<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">AUBURN HILLS -- The Pistons will accept their fifth Central Division title in the last six years and their No. 1 seed in the East the way a doctor accepts his undergraduate degree.

Take it, tuck it away and get on to more important things.

"You know, what Joe (Dumars) has built here, and what we've done since we've been here, this is not what we play for," said Tayshaun Prince, who scored 17 points in the Pistons' 104-99 victory over the Orlando Magic at The Palace Wednesday. "You know we aren't going to celebrate even if we get back to the Finals. This is something we are glad to accomplish, but everybody knows what we're trying to do."

The Pistons have a long way to go to achieve their goal -- the NBA title -- but this is their eighth division title since the 1987-88 season. Only the Spurs have won more division titles (10) in that span.

"It feels good, man," said Chauncey Billups, who scored 28, including a 3-point dagger and four free throws in the final 36.4 seconds left that sealed the victory. "We've been the best team in the conference for a lot of years now. I am glad to be a part of this."</div>

#1 seed almost isn't worth it if you gotta play the Cavs/Miami the next round(I think that is correct?)

Well say the higher seed automatically advances this is what it would look like

    #1 Pistons vs #4 Heat
    #2 Bulls vs #3 Cavs

Personally I wouldn't mind playing the Heat in the 2nd round. If we win we've got them out of the way if we lose, then whats so different about losing one round earlier. Both of those "potential" series could get very interesting.

Cavs won't be any problem this time around. Miami will be tougher but I would much rather play Miami in round two than the conference finals. Wade has less time to be healthly. Not that It should matter but It helps.

1st seed is worth It due to having to play the worse team in the playoffs in round one. An easier tie helps you down the line.

Playing #7 or #8 seed really isn't much of a difference IMO, they are both just as bad/good as each other.
