<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> On the court yesterday, the news surrounded the impending return of forward Andrea Bargnani.

"If he's ready to play (tomorrow), he'll play," Mitchell said, keeping everyone in suspense.

Whether it's tomorrow against the Detroit Pistons or Sunday against the New York Knicks, the remaining games will give Bargnani the work necessary to get his timing back so when the playoffs open, he's back to full speed.

Mitchell confirmed yesterday that when Bargnani does return it will be in the same role -- coming off the bench -- that he left prior to the appendectomy.

"Obviously we've been playing well without him, so we'll ease him back in, but we need him to play," Mitchell said. "He's a big part of the reason we're in the situation we're in."

Mitchell said Bargnani's presence makes Bosh a better player when he's able to get both guys on the floor at the same time. </div>

Looks like he isn't playing tonight:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">They will likely play tonight without Andrea Bargnani, who is over his appendectomy but now laid low with the flu. The seven-foot rookie, who has missed the last 11 games, took part in the team's photo-day session yesterday morning but immediately left the ACC because he was sick.

Mitchell said he didn't expect to have him available tonight, delaying his return until Sunday when the New York Knicks come visiting and, while the Raptors are 9-2 without Bargnani, they are a better team when he plays.</div>

    Hopefully he's back by Sunday.

Without him there, they are 9-2. But with him there could be 11-0. He really stretches out the D and takes pressure off CB4. But yea, its weird not to see him come in off the bench. Sometimes i sit there and wait, like dont worry here comes Il mago, be he never does:(. But sunday oh he will!!!
