A pretty good interview with JVG. Talks a lot about Rafer, matching up with Utah, Bonzi, and the other bench guys.

    Nice find.

Maybe some people will start giving Rafer a little more credit.

Credit for what? Last few games or maybe the overall season, the guy hasn't been all that good. He is so inconsistent and he jacks up shots. I really am disliking Rafer. When Rafer plays good, Rockets play good, which means that if he steps up and plays good in playoffs, Rockets will do good. I just hope Rafer can hang with Deron Williams. He is a guy that can go off.

The guy shoots over 36% from 3 (like I called at the beginning of the season), and many of those come in the most important time of the game (the 4th). He only takes what the defense gives him, he's not a pure shooter, or even a shooter for that matter, but he can hit the ones that the defense gives him, so he takes them. He is 11th in the NBA in steals, and averaging over 13 points and 5 assists per game.

Ok, so even if what you said is true, what do you suggest we do about it? Run V-Span at the point?

Like JVG said, after Rafer, there's a huge drop off. When he's having bad nights, he can't sit down, because no one else can run the offense. He has to play through his bad nights. It's the Rockets fault for thinking V-Span or Lucas could be backups.
