Today's game is a big one in the race for the playoffs in the East. Earlier today, the Pacers lost to the Nets so if we win tonight, we will have clinched a playoff spot. We have been pretty bad at putting away easy teams so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem tonight since this game is so important. Luckily, Paul Pierce is out since he killed us last time we faced Boston and pretty much beat us single handily. It'll be interesting to see how Dwight fares on the second night of this back to back after scoring a career high 35 points in yesterday's game. Hopefully we can play well and clinch that spot.
Yeah that was way to close for comfort. Grant brought up a good point, we shouldn't have been saying, "12 minutes until the playoffs!" at the start of the fourth quarter. That's uncalled for and if anything, it pumped the Celtics up and we almost lost. But wow, what a game and thank God we came away with the win. Anybody else reserve their playoff tickets yet?! Me and my friend got some and I think we're going to the first home game. It's good to be back in the postseason!
<div class="quote_poster">Swish Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">If both the Nets and Wizards lose out, and we win out then we get the sixth seed.</div> If Wiz lose out and we win out, does that mean we get the 7 seed and Wiz get the 8th? Oh and I'd much rather face the Cavs/Bulls then the Raptors, so I'd be more satisfied in the 7th spot.
I didn't see the game, but man, we almost blew it against a Pierce-less Celtics. Good job though, Magic! This is the first time I'll be seeing my favorite team in the playoffs. That'd be cool if we could slip into the 7th or 6th seed. Edit: Wow, just watched the video on NBA.com of Hedo blocking Delonte West' in the closing seconds of the game. That block probably prevented overtime.
Yea, well since the Nets won, I think they will def be above us. I hope we can just get the 7 seed. We have a better chance at beating the Bulls than either the Pistons or the Raptors both of which swept us...

Washington on the other hand can lose to us at home and @ Indy, while we beat Washington and Miami and we would tie and supposedly we would have the tie breaker over Washington and get the 7th seed. We just have to take care of our business tomorrow night and give ourselves an opportunity to take the 7th seed on the final day of the season.
