vs
<font color=""Navy"">New Jersey Nets(39-40) @ <font color=""orange"">New York Knicks(32-48) Time: Monday, April 16th, 2007 7:30 EST TV: YES Away/Home Tonight, the Nets face their biggest rivals, the New York Knicks, and will try to: 1. Win a must win game, get the 7th seed in the east and advance to just 0.5 games behind Washington. 2. Defeat the Knicks once again and sweep the season series against them. 3. Win their 3rd game in a row in order to keep RJ's prediction of 4 straight wins alive. The poor Knicks have nothing to play for other than pride, as they're out of the playoffs once again and have no draft pick to tank for (Chicago has their's). The team has been plagued by injuries to many of their top players and have lost 6 of their 7 games in April so far, including 4 in a row. Starting Lineups: New Jersey Nets: PG:Jason Kidd SG:Vince Carter SF:Richard Jefferson PF:Jason Collins C:Mikki Moore New York Knicks: PG:Steve Francis SG:Mardy Collins SF:Jared Jeffries PF:Channing Frye C:Eddy Curry *Key players in bold Keys to the Game: -Contain Curry. -Drive to the basket and get the Knicks to pile up the fouls, as they have a thin lineup. Prediction: Nets+10
I only caught the end of the game, but Carter was faked out on two consecutive posessions on pumpfakes by Frye and Collins. That's horrible defence. Congrats on the victory though.
Nets:104 Knicks:95 FINAL Vince with another triple double. Kidd has taught him well. Kidd: 11 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists Carter: 29 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists Jefferson: 15 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds Moore: 14 points Nachbar: 19 points BoxScore Now only half a game behind the Wizards for that 6 spot.
Shoot, I missed another game. I thought it was going to be tomorrow, damn man. Well we won but the shooting percentage was awful. Kidd was like 3-12 and Jefferson was like 2-12. Great to see Carter pick up another TD.
I'm kinda happy the nets won and the knicks lost, cause it would get the nets a better place in the east, and since the knicks are already out of the playoffs this loss will get them a better draft pick next year.
^^^ Sorry to poop your party, man, but the Knicks' draft pick next season belongs to the Bulls because of the Eddy Curry trade.
