    81-74 with 10 seconds

    Edit: 8.7 secs

    Edit: 75 - 81!

What a game by Houston. Down by 9 at halftime. Tracy McGrady took the team on his back and scored 16 points in the 3rd quarter to give us a big boost! What a good game by Yao and our supporting cast! GREAT WIN! LETS GO HOUSTON ROCKETS!

Interesting Fact: 78% of the teams that win the 1st game of the series usually go on to win the entire series.

That was nice comeback by us in the 3rd qtr. We got lucky though that DFish messed up on that 3 on nothing play and Yao got the dunk in the other end.

    Great win! Quick observations:
    - McGrady was outstanding in the second half
    - We held Boozer and Okur to only 6-31 shooting.
    - Both PGs had a near triple-double.
    - We got 12 more points from the free throw line than the Jazz
    - Kirilenko had a 5X1 with 2 points, 1 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, and 1 blk. What in the world happened to him?

I dunno, in the first 2 minutes, he had that block on yao, then he got a steal and drove to the basket and drew the foul (didn't make the basket though).

So that accounts for his block and his steal, so the remainder of the game he got 1 assist and 1 basket.

But he only played 16 minutes.

Nice win though. I noticed that lately our fourth quarters have been going pretty well. I was actually worried we might lose this one at the half.

Man that was a good game. I lost my voice chanting DEFENSE and screaming T-MAC everytime he shot it in the 3rd. All my friends were like damnit, give it to Yao...they thought we would lose cuz T-Mac only had 1 point at the half, and I kept saying "Just wait till the 3rd and 4th!"

The turning point was that 3 by Head with 1 second left, the arena went crazy. The missed lay up by Fisher that resulted to the Yao dunk got everyone up and screaming LOUD!

    Thank you, T-Mac!

That is pretty amazing against the Jazz. Anyways I still thought we deserved more calls down there. But man, is that team physical.

Amazing game to watch...very entertaining. We had ALOT of open looks that we missed. If we make those we will be unstoppable.

Quick things that JVG will work on
    1) Offensive rebounding
    2) Transition defense on Okur and harping
    3) picks on shooters and PG
    4) careless turnovers while dribbling

-Tmac was just nervous in the first half but once he settled down he went to his old playoff form and mollested Derek Fisher (as he should)
    - Boozer and Okur looked like they let the pressure get to them last night....could be a lack of post season experience (eventhough Okur has a title..)
    - Deron Williams is going to be great for a long time, one thing I noticed is that Utah's half court offense went to poo when Williams set on the bench...Reefer was pretty good last night, but I wish he'd cut down on the 3's (that can go for the whole team)
    - I think that's just more nervs on the Jazz part, they missed a lot of freebees last night
    - I seriously don't know, dude used to be a legit all-star now he looks like a dud

I'm predicting we take these guys in 5, because we have two stars that the Jazz can't match, Utah's half court offense isn't that great, and we're due to get out of the first round.....

YES, this was the turning point imo...the Jazz could've went up by 3, but instead lost the lead and never got it back....the crowd was going nuts!!!!

I called that shot and said it was going in...............THE DREAM = a basketball genius.

The crowd was really good last night, a lot of cursing, chants, screaming, sweating, jumping, falling over seats....what the playoffs should exactly be like.....Craig Sager was sitting next to us in the rowdies section (for the first half at least, then I think he went to the Santa Dotson party upstairs), we took pictures with him, but he didn't like our "beat the mormons" chants..........oh well you can't please everyone....GO ROCKETS!!!!

Lol, no that wasn't me, I watched the replay of the game and saw that....I was actually right behind that sign, so you couldn't see my face....I got on t.v. for a split second after a commercial break.....

The Jazz not willing to run the Rockets with their faster players will play right into the hand of the Rockets if it stays the same.
I imagine the next game Jazz try to run more.

TMac taking responsibility for this series is more the realization unless he performs like he did in the 2nd half the Rockets don't have nearly enough to compete. Lets hope he starts that way in game 2, I'll be there.

It was funny because Walton was saying get the ball to TMac not Yao, and Bill was on FSN saying get the ball to Yao more because he was getting calls inside.

Its got to be both, playing off each other and the 3pt shooters hitting there shots. There is so many open shots they have to hit, expect Luther to look better next game 1-6 from 3

Hayes against Boozer is a bruising matchup to watch.

The 4 on 1 fast break miss was the funniest thing I've ever seen.

The pick n roll is great to see when there are quick athletic players running it.
Boozer- Williams is nice to watch, good to see the Rockets had a lot of deflections expecting a lot of the passes.

Tmac definatley came alive in the 2nd half. However, Derek Fisher & Giricek did a decent job on him. I'd still like to see him drive a little more next game.

Me to....I'd also like to see JVG run more plays for him in the post, so he can just rise over Fisher and score easily...

    Check this out:

This shows, how Derek Fisher is so short compared to other SG's in the NBA. This sig was made by a Jazz fan. LOL!

Also, did you guys notice that when Juwan hit that clock beating shot at the end of the 1st quarter, everyone made it seem as if he hit a game winner or something. [IMG] After all, great energy from our fans and the RED ROWDIES!
