Unfortunately, the Clippers also won tonight and they hold the tie breaker which I think they could win tomorrow if we also win. So no champagne parties tonight for the Dubs if they lose or they tie tomorrow.

What seemed like windfall for the Warriors fans could turn into a nasty ass surprise when that Wizards game late technical foul comes back to haunt us.

It's just so so so convenient if one were writing about a team that could finally make it... and they don't because of one thing that happened in the past... a silly thing... a moronic and avoidable thing... caused by both Don Nelson and referee alike... it's like it's out of a book or something... where the Warriors are always destined to fail.

It's like when people discussed that Washington game it was like it was going to foreshadow what was about to come. So they Clippers better lose tomorrow and the Warriors better win... or else what was foretold will come true... and it will be proving that only the Warriors could be this truly cursed.

I kept saying don't count chickens before the eggs hatch, but I also didn't think that the Wizards game would hold so much importance because we probably didn't have the team to get this far... but we did. It's so ironic that they're good enough to probably hold an 8th seed, but they find someway to lose anyway.

Anyway, here's to hoping that the LA teams don't win tomorrow.

Well the Warriors don't need anybody to lose tomorrow besides the team they are playing, the Portland Trail Blazers. If the Clippers do lose, then that makes things easier for the Warriors. But since the Clippers play after the Warriors (I think the Clippers play at 7:30PM, the Warriors at 7:00PM), the Warriors better just focus on creaming the Blazers like they did against the Timberwolves, Mavericks, Jazz, Houston, and Sacramento. Basically the Warriors better play like they have all April, besides that Spurs game. Man, I am so anxious for tomorrow. But ever since the Giants made it to the WS and lost it to the Angels, maybe I am a little more cautious celebrating to early, especially with the Warriors. But man, the playoffs are so close.

Go Warriors and Go Hornets tomorrow!!

The magic number is one. You gotta believe we'll make it now no matter how tough it is.

The Wiz loss was one of those freak things. The only thing to take from that game is don't get mad and lose your cool when things aren't going well, especially when it's tight and a big game. Sure, it was tough to lose and realize that win was taken away from us by the refs. We could be in the playoffs right now. But those things happen no matter how freakish it was. Something like that probably won't happen again for another decade or so.

That said, the Portland game is going to be a tough game. You think there may be a let down because of the high from winning tonight. It's a even bigger game than tonight, but it's on the road and the second game of a back-to-back. It must be tough to take a red eye flight out tonight and then try to get a decent night's sleep for the game.

The magic number is one. You gotta believe the Warriors are going to make the playoffs despite it all [IMG].

    Oh crap, so I'm wrong?

Clippers win, we win, then we clinch right?

Dang, I forgot the clippers are behind us by one game.

Sorry JV, Clif. I didn't see the latest record. I guess if we win tomorrow, then we do clinch.

I have no doubt in my mind the Warriors will win tomorrow. I also think the Clippers will lose. I cant believe the Warriors might actually make the playoffs. Who would have thought a month or two ago the Warriors would actually finish the season 42-40. Now that is an improvement! Go Warriors!

Jesus, Warriors are 1 game away from the playoffs for the first time in 12 years and the Clippers get the front page of yahoo sports (NBA)?

Hey, we can let them have one last story, because after tonight, nobody will be talking about them until we discuss lottery pick positions [IMG]

It takes time for that to happen (for people to even realize the Warriors are still an NBA franchise and won't be on vacation early), and being in some playoff games is going to help. Don't forget Larry Beil is in the Bay Area and he hosts the Yahoo! video sports streams. He's not a writer and doesn't dictate what gets on the front page, but he'll be asking Warriors questions to his guests. Even during the season, he would always try to slip some Warriors questions into his broadcasts, like when Kerr or Wojnarowski were talking about young players, Larry would bring up Monta and Andris.

Thanks, I didn't even realize they hit 30. Pretty darn amazing if you ask me.

Hey I'll take pessimism in this type of situation. That way if the Warriors fail to make the playoffs (yet again), I won't be as burned as if I had all my hopes riding on this one game. Of course, I'll still be disappointed since it's back to the lotto where we pick at a later position than we'd probably want in a pretty deep draft.

The Blazers are positioning themselves for more ping pong balls. They have lost 5 of their last 6, all 5 of those losses against teams still playing for a purpose.

The Warriors should be able to close out their run with a victory tonight.

Unfortunately, I need to root for the Lakers to win tonight, it's going to be hard to do (sorry shapecity).

The Warriors clinched their first non-losing record in a very long time. Hopefully they get their first winning record with a win tonight. I am not guaranteeing anything tonight. But this is Jason Richardson's game tonight, in my view, to fulfill his promise from last offseason. And if JRich is pumped up, I would think the others would have to be focused as well.

This is the must win of all must wins for the Warriors.

Both matchups will be tough. Doubt the W's win either matchup, but I'm starting to think the W's have a better chance against the Suns, but going that path would lead to the Spurs the next round. The Mavs have a strong defense and will probably lock the W's down in the playoffs.

Both matchups will be fun to watch. High-powered offense versus high-powered offense, or the Drama of Mavs versus Ws.

But I agree with you, HiRez, a Mavs-Warriors matchup will be most compelling, however not necessarily the easiest to win.
