Detroit (51-29) clinched the top seed in the East on Wednesday and Toronto (47-33) wrapped up the third seed on Sunday, putting the teams on opposite sides of the bracket. Both teams are still waiting to see how the bottom half of the East shakes out to determine their opponents for the first round. Pistons coach Flip Saunders has given his stars plenty of rest in losing two straight since clinching the East's best record, including an 87-84 defeat at Toronto on Friday. Although point guard Chauncey Billups did not play, Detroit held a 69-58 lead heading into the fourth quarter before starters Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace saw limited action in the final period. "Rasheed didn't play the end, Rip didn't and Chauncey didn't play at all," said Toronto forward Anthony Parker after the game. "These are guys that have rings. If we see them hopefully it will be in the Eastern Conference finals, but yeah, we have to play a lot better." </div> <div align="center">Source: Yahoo!Sports <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Projected Starters</font></font> TJ Ford - Morris Peterson - Joey Graham - Kris Humphries - Rasho Nesterovic <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Reserves</font></font> Jose Calderon - Darrick Martin - Juan Dixon - Luke Jackson - Uros Slokar - Pape Sow <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Coach</font></font> Sam Mitchell <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Injuries</font></font> Andrea Bargnani (flu); Jorge Garbajosa (left ankle) <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Projected Starters</font></font> Chauncey Billups - Rip Hamilton - Tayshaun Prince - Rasheed Wallace - Chris Webber <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Reserves</font></font> Lindsey Hunter - Ronald Murray - Carlos Delfino - Ronald Dupree - Jason Maxiell - Antonio McDyess - Nazr Mohammed <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Coach</font></font> Flip Saunders <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Injuries</font></font> None <div align="center"> <font face=""Tahoma""><font size=""4""> Prediction</font></font> Pistons win 92-84.</div> <font size=""4""><font face=""Tahoma"">Something to look at while you wait for the game (and probably during, since it won't be that interesting)</font></font> </div>
I doubt the Pistons play all their starters, but I couldn't find a place that told me their starting lineup.
I haven't been following the game very much, but I know I've seen Billups, Teyshawn, Rasheed, and Webber.
We're up 61 - 37 at the Half Lindsey Hunter is playing well, with 8 points, 8 assists on 3/3 shooting.
Slokar with 18 points! I'm getting a little worried that Bargnani isn't playing. He needs some conditioning with game time before the playoffs. Hopefully he'd be good to go on Wednesday. Or what the heck, when Uros has 18 points in a game what need is there for Bargs?
Toronto is a good young Team. But we are gonna learn alot about their coaching staff in the playoffs.
^ No doubt. I missed this game because, frankly, I just wasn't all that interested. But Uros Slokar's performance is a surprise. Was he doing it against scrubs or legitimate competition? I think I'm going to catch the replay tomorrow.
Yea, I just read that on the Yahoo recap. It says he hyperextended his right knee, but afterwards didn't think it was that serious. Still that's pretty scary. He had a crazy game too, with 13 rebounds.
