Since you Nets fans haven't made a thread regarding the series, just thought I might start it. Discuss.

In each game? Try in all the games combined. Unless Vince Carter averages 97 points per game, you guys are screwed.

I can't wait to see your reactions when the Nets win it over the Raptors.

The Nets better not screw me over though. [IMG]

Oh it's not like you guys have a huge defensive presence, so I don't see how it's going to be a huge problem getting to the bucket.

This is going to be a tight series. I hardly feel anybody in the States know how good the Raptors actually are. One of the commentators was saying that New Jersey should beat Toronto and move on. I can't wait to see the raps demolish the Nets in 5. That's how many games it's going to take 5.

lol, I grew up on Vince so I'm loving this. Unfortunetly for Vince, I'm a Raptors fans first and the Raptors (not to mention the CITY OF TORONTO) is way too motivated to let this series get away. C'mon man, we haven't made the playoffs since 2002 and the first team we face is our former franchise player, who left the city on bad terms. Sounds like a hollywood script penned for a hollywood ending. I'm still praying for a missed fadeaway by Carter from the left side off the back rim as time expires in game 7 in Toronto. Hopefully it doesn't go that far though.

If not the players, the city itself will drive the Raptors to win this series. I'm trying to make this series sound more epical than it is; hopefully it's working.

Well I do have to say the Raptors are the underdog. Honestly, no one outside of Canada expects them to win, so that might fire them up.

The Raptors are underdog to the casual fan, or perhaps the American public who hasn't seen them play. As far as I know, the Nets are the underdog because they are the 6th seed, and the Raptors are the 3rd seed. Obviously, since the team is from Canada, those things just get thrown out of the window.

I understand how good Toronto is! I think they are extremely underrated and I'm very impressed with their team. Chris Bosh has really improved this season and has taken on the leadership role which is great. He barks at players and he's very vocal. You can tell he keeps everything running smoothly and he has a great passion for the game. Ford and Parker are two other players who have really impressed me this season. A lot of people questioned the Villanueva for Ford trade because it's always strange to see a big man go for a guard but it definitely paid off for the Raps. Parker has filled in nicely when needed and he's shown he can make a big impact in this league. I'm really looking forward to this series and I honestly think people are giving New Jersey too much credit. They were just decent all seasons but heated up a little towards the end. The Raptors have been consistent and I think they will play great against the Nets. Raps in 6! Book it!

I know the Raptors are good and I don't live in Canada. Hell my friend thinks they could win it all. But I think the Nets will still win.

You guys want a sig bet?

Toronto might have the higher seed, but everyone is still picking the Nets to win this one. Simply because they have no confidence in the Raptors, and they feel that they are too inexperienced. The question going around is, will Bosh take over the series?

No one outside of Canada has watched them play regularly. And to me 47-35 sounds better than 41-41. Also 3rd seed might help too? I don't see why people keep constantly underestimating the Raptors like this season is a fluke or something. We've been consistently good all year against ALL teams, not just the crap teams.

Actually everyone thinks that Raptors will win this series. Well, everyone on ESPN thinks that.

    Epical isn't a word.

Anyways, I got Toronto winning in 6. Anthony Parker is the unsung hero for the Raps, but you guys will find out who he is when he's shutting down VC.

I guess I'm the only one still nervous that Vince Carter is capable of man handling the Raptors all by himself... I wish for the Raptors to win, but I wouldn't be suprised if they got the boot out of the first round against the Nets.

Oops. Lapse there, I meant "epic proportions", if any of you mods would fix it, that'd be good.

I don't expect VC to go off in this series...we have Mo Pete and Parker to throw at him, so I'm not necessairly worried, but you can bet he's looking forward to this.
