How will the Bulls recover from last night's choke job? They dropped from the #2 seed and walk over series with the Wizards, to the 5th seed with the arch-enemy, and defending champs as their 1st round opponent. Mentally, is this a depressing turn of events for the Bulls heading into the post-season? OR Will this be a huge confidence booster for the Bulls if they take out Miami in Round 1? Like the cliche goes, to be the best, you have to beat the best.
Our guys have done well all season to meet beyond their expectations from the media. I'll be covering the series and put up the Playoff sheet sometime this week.
I am sure we can take down Miami. It will be a huge confidence boost if we do. However, the Bulls severely choked against NJ.
I think MIA's kinda overrated, but we still choked last night. Yeah, they're technically the reigning champs but they aren't that good right now. The main thing I'm looking for is if NBA poster boy Dwyane Wade will get all the calls and shoot at the line 30 times a game. Otherwise, we match up well against them and can take them in a 7-game series, which would definitely boost our confidence. But our choke puts us out of what could have been a cruise to the ECF to a struggle to make it out the first round, but at least this keeps things interesting.
We have Handled both Miami and the pistons quite well in the regular season. I chuck that loss to this, NJ wanted to play toronto alot more than we figured. Skile made some bad choices on the game that night also. IMO he playe Nochioni too many minutes and he was taking too many shots which kind of limited both ben and Dengs attempted shots. IMO I think in the fourth Skile shoudve put Gordon at the point. Ben was the only bull willing to attack the rim. Deng tried twice but was whistled for fouls each time. Jason kidd played gordon well denying him the ball alot in the fourth. He simply stayed in between gordon and the ball. Thats why I think hinrich shouldve been out of the game at that point. When Skile put duhon on Carter I knew it was going to be a long night. Carter simply reighned shots over duhon like he didnt exist which is part of the reason The Nets ended up with that big lead.

I don't mind this first round match up at all. I'm worried about facing Detroit right after Miami to tell you the truth. I kind of had a feeling we were going to lose to New Jersey last night. We always struggle matching up with their big back court.
I think the Bulls facing Miami in their current position betters their chances of competing against Detroit in the next round. The reason why is that they will have more competition and will be more prepared then if they were to have faced Washington or other. Of course it will be tougher, but I have a feeling that they will definitely be more prepared after facing Miami, also boosting their confidence by putting down the defending champs who knocked them out last year. I donno why, but i have a feeling we're going to meet Toronto in the Conference finals. My head tells me Cleveland, but my heart is giving me Toronto. lol
If we won I think we would have played NJ again, not the Wiz or am I wrong. They did choke, but before that game the reporters were asking them if they would like to face the Heat and all that and it seemed like they want to play them and I hope they come out with a 100% effort because they will need that on the defensive end and not play like they did against NJ. But, it wasn't great that they were talking about the Heat when they could have won the game and played the 7th seed.
