We lost the tie-breaker with Golden State, which would have given us the 18th pick

This is the second time we lost the coin toss to them. The Warriors won the coin toss and selected Ike Diogu, and we ended up with Andrew Bynum.

Well, personally, I'm hoping we won't even end up with a 1st round pick come draft time, because hopefully we'll be able to use it in a trade for someone like..... Jermaine O'Neal? Kevin Garnett? We have enough youth as it already is

It really depends, the chances of landing O'Neal, KG or a top 20 talent who's paid over $15M per is tough to pull off.

The Lakers will have three total picks our 1st rounder, our 2nd rounder, and the Bobcats 2nd rounder.

Players the Lakers will likely have to replace are Aaron McKie, Shammond Williams, and Smush Parker.

I have a gut feeling Chris Mihm will re-sign for a favorable amount of money, he genuinely seems to like playing for the Lakers. He even has his own signature shoe because he's a Laker.

You can pretty much guarantee Luke will be re-signed.

The Lakers will need some cheap talent (typically draftees) to round out the roster and average down the larger contracts we have on our roster.

There's a lot of athletic forwards I wouldn't mind seeing added to this team in the draft.

The PG situation, I'd prefer the Lakers address that need in free agency with a veteran guard who's hungry for a ring.

Ponys are pretty old school with the most notable BBall player I can think of sporting them being Spud Webb....oh and I think Snoop Dogg has his own line of Ponys too. Back in the 70s, it were one of the most well known sportswear brands.

Yeah, pony's are pretty old school, but as far as i've seen, I don't think they look as good as NIke or Adidas. Butt, that's just my opinion.

Since Brian Grant's contract expires this off-season, do we have a chance at landing a big-time free agent?

No, because we're still over the cap. Kobe, Odom, and Kwame make too much money. Our best bet is to sign someone productive with the MLE, but recently, the MLE has just been a big waste of money. George, Divac, McKie, and Radmanovic. Hopefully this offseason we'll actually put it to good use, or we might as well not even use it so we can save some money

Doesn't Kwame's contract expire as well? If I'm correct, he was only on a two year deal, so his contract should be up.

WHAt the **** how does Kwame make that much money?! It's too big especially considering the production he gives. I guess it just goes it just goeas to show how tough it is to get a decent big man nowadays.

I have no clue who we can get for the 19th pick, since college basketball games arent shown so much in our cable here. All I know is that we should get theese:

    1. A good defender. (perimeter or post)
    2. A big man who can score and rebounds well.
3.A "true" point guard who looks to ditribute the ball. (unlike smush)

Who can we get that fitts those?

How about a sign-and-trade that will send Kwame Brown, picks, and, as much as I don't want to, Jordan Farmar to Indiana for O'Neal?
