That angle has been beaten to death by every media source in the continent, but Raptors fans will deal with it for the next couple of weeks as the Toronto Raptors open off their first playoff series since 2002. No doubt, the majority of the city wants to stick it to Carter again, but lost behind all the media hype and emotions is one hell of a magical season by the red shirts. Taking advantage of cap space and some lottery luck, newly-signed GM Bryan Colangelo constructed a deep fast-break team around franchise player Chris Bosh. The roster has been slept on for most of the season but, faced with adversity and questions, they have bonded together to capture the Atlantic division title and tie the franchise record for single season wins. Now, in a story that will probably be turned into a movie in the near future (with Samuel L. Jackson playing coach Sam Mitchell), Toronto will have to go through a former franchise player and their division rivals, the New Jersey Nets, in the first round. The ACC crowd will be rowdy and this has the makings of a classic NBA playoff series. <div align="center">_________________________________________________ <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Projected Starters</font></font> TJ Ford - Anthony Parker - Joey Graham - Chris Bosh - Rasho Nesterovic <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Reserves</font></font> Jose Calderon - Darrick Martin - Juan Dixon - Morris Peterson - Luke Jackson - Uros Slokar - Andrea Bargnani - Pape Sow - Kris Humphries <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Coach</font></font> Sam Mitchell <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Injuries</font></font> Jorge Garbajosa (left ankle) <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Projected Starters</font></font> Jason Kidd - Vince Carter - Richard Jefferson - Jason Collins - Mikki Moore <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Reserves</font></font> Marcus Williams - Hassan Adams - Antoine Wright - Bernard Robinson - Bostjan Nachbar - Clifford Robinson - Josh Boone - Mile Ilic <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Coach</font></font> Lawrence Frank <font face=""Verdana""><font size=""3"">Injuries</font></font> Nenad Krstic (torn left ACL); Eddie House (hip) <font face=""Tahoma""><font size=""4""> Season Series</font></font> Tied 2-2 Nov. 1, 2006 @ NJ 102, TOR 92 Dec. 15, 2006 @ TOR 90, NJ 78 Jan. 9, 2007 @ NJ 101, TOR 86 Feb. 14, 2007 @ TOR 120, NJ 109 <font face=""Tahoma""><font size=""4""> Team Statistics (Regular Season)</font></font> [DIV=50%] NEW JERSEY 97.6 ppg 40.8 rpg 23.9 apg 45.7 FG % 72.7 FT % 36.3 3PT % [/DIV] TORONTO 99.5 ppg 39.5 rpg 22.2 apg 46.3 FG % 78.8 FT % 36.3 3PT % <font size=""4""><font face=""Tahoma"">Something to look at while you wait for the game</font></font> </div>
I really don't wanna hear, "THIS IS STILL MY HOUSE!" I'm gonna go on record... Nets in 5, but I HOPE TO GOD I'M WRONG. GO RAPS.

<div class="quote_poster">norespect Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> I'm gonna go on record Nets in 5 </div> Get outta here with that s***! Once the Raps win, you're not welcome around here no more.
The ACC is going to be LOUD as hell. The fans are going to be huge for momentum, I see Toronto winning their first playoff game in 5 years, 107-102.

I'm beginning to question you, are you sure you're a Raptors fan?</div> Just because I think that the raps will lose dosen't mean that I'm not a fan. If the Raps were matched up against someone like Detroit, would you think that they'd win? So you must think the Raps are gonna win the title. I've watched every second of every game this year. I've also attended 14 games at the ACC this season....and i've cheered for the raps every step of the way since day one with damon, john salley, zan tabak and co. IF you don't consider me a fan then ur dumb. <div class="quote_poster">Eclipse Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Get outta here with that s***! There is a big difference, and like I said, I hope I'm wrong. I just don't like that Vince has a reason to come out and play hard. I'd rather he just play indifferently like he usually does. <div class="quote_poster">hustler Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I'm so pissed at the moment, I can't watch the game...wtfff.</div> Why can't you watch the game?
This is going to be a fun series to watch. Vince Carter playing in Canada again, you got youth vs. experience, and every game can go down to the wire. I'd have to choose the Nets over the Raptors in 7 because of their offensive firepower with Kidd, Carter and Jefferson.
SoSoDef and Eclipse: Take it easy! He's allowed to express his feelings, and just because for once someone spoke with their mind rather than their hearts, does not qualify them as a "hater". Having said that, I can't wait for this series to kickoff. I'm absolutly pumped!! Raps in 6. P.S. Chut, great job on the review homie.
<div class="quote_poster">Eclipse Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Someone posted this on another forum </div> ahahah that's what i'm talking about! Raps in 6!
Please tell me this is going to be shown on Canadian basic cable. It says ESPN on NBA.com and I'm guessing TSN or the Score picked it up Stupid lousy ABC and Sportsnet.
Are you guys sure the Raps haven't made the playoffs since 02? There playing like a team that has made the playoffs like every year.
23-22 New Jersey after the first quarter. Bosh was off to a good start, but got in foul trouble. Vince shooting a poor 1-7 so far. Jason Kidd has 8 assists already.
