    A Bulls Star is Born

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Miami Heat kept coming for these Chicago Bulls, for a title that the champs were desperately trying to hold onto, and perhaps the time had passed for Luol Deng to be that deferring, developing star. The big noise tumbled down into the United Center in Game 1, and before everyone's eyes, Deng had demonstrated the disposition to dominate.

Something's clicked, someone's blossomed, and there were Deng's 33 points rising over everyone in the Bulls' 96-91 victory over the Heat on Saturday. He had a terrific season for Chicago, a breakthrough to be sure, but no one could be completely convinced of his climb closer to greatness until he had made his move in these playoffs. </div>

Paints Luol Deng with a superstar brush.

Deng has been playing with more confidence since the trade deadline. I think the vote of confidence Paxson and Reinsdorf gave him by not trading him really gave him a boast. I'm ecstatic we kept him and Gordon instead of trading for Pau Gasol. If we had done that trade I doubt we would have won yesterday to be honest with you. Gasol is a good big man, but not a transcending star, something Deng has the potential to become (as well as Gordon). Not to mention we kept Tyrus as well, and still have a guaranteed top eight pick in this years draft to look forward to.

I was wondering when Luol was going to be back, because he didn't do that great the last week of the season, only averaged like 14 points.

Deng just puts baskets in at such a consistant rate. thats why hes so important to the team. he scores his points thruout the game and doesnt need to score in bunches to get 30. his points are mostly disributed inbetween atleast 3 qtrs. Pax knows how to pickem.

    Go Bulls!!!
