Game about to start talk here. I really hope we could steal game 1, then we got a chance in this series.
I think the Lakers will make it more competitive than people think. It will be tough to deny both Amare AND Nash though, and Nash has shown that he is more than willing to take the big shots in the last year and a half. If I was coaching the Lakers I would: 1) make defense a priority to start the game, i.e. forget about trying to get out and score 30 in the first, set a defensive tone from 0:00 and then just try and keep the game within striking distance for 3 quarters. As clutch as Nash is, if the Lakers can be within 8 points going into the fourth, they have a very good chance to steal this one. 2) SMART SHOT SELECTION and make the extra pass. If you're open, don't shoot unless it comes in the rhythm of ball movement. PASS instead. wear that shot clock out. Anyway, I'm just hoping for a series. The biggest letdown will be if Phoenix, Dallas and SA cruise through the first round.

12- 11 Phx lead.. Farmar starting. Playing decent defence on Nash, but Nash has scored alot, but only 1 assit and 3 turnovers. At 7:30 mark in 1st
Lakers looking good thus far... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">2) SMART SHOT SELECTION and make the extra pass. I'm liking how the Lakers are playing right now. They're playing a controlled offense and forcing the Suns to take a lot of jump shots. They're also controlling the boards already. Lastly, I like what Farmar is doing. He's playing good defense on Nash, making him more of a scorer than a facilitator and forcing him into three early turnovers. If the Lakers can keep this game in control, we've got a great shot at winning this game. However, I would like Odom's offense to show up. 0-4 right now, though he was robbed of a jump hook.
This has been the game I've been waiting for ever since the playoff schedule was released. The Lakers are probably my second favorite team behind the Magic just because they are so exciting to watch. I'm really pulling for them today and I would love to the see the Suns go down. After the first quarter, the Lakers are winning 23-18. Hopefully they can keep it up. Also, I definitely like Jordan Farmer more than Smush Parker. I don't get why the Lakers didn't make this switch earlier on and give Farmer more time to get comfortable.
Lakers are playing excellent right now, and Phx's shots are just not falling, we just have to keep playing the way we are. Lets hope we can play cosistantey. Lakers up 35- 27
What's up with the Suns players when they play against Lakers?? They're like buch on choke players around, can't hit anything and somehow stay close with their score :/, it just pisses me off. Still i have to say that Lakers are doing a GREAT job with them.
The Lakers play in streaks too much. They are depending on Kobe way too much and he is making the offense stagnant which is why they are not scoring. The Lakers need to have people move offensively. C'mon Kobe.
Odom with an idiotic move. You 1)Don't try to fast break against the suns 2)Don't drive when you have two players on you I like how they have slowed the game down for the most part, but the ball could be moving more.
