Ok our PG's are open for a reason ... it shouldn't be green light time for Calderon and TJ to shoot shots (minus 1 point coaching staff). Our offense is way too simplistic. Why is giving the ball to bosh like our fourth option? At the very least give him the ball and have him swing it every time the double comes .... that should free up our shooters.
I dont have TSN or Score or whatever is playing this, so I unfortunetly can't even watch the game (2 games straight now). However, I'm checking the scores and NBA.com says 68-65 with 10 left in the fourth, and ESPN says 78-76 with 3 left i nthe fourth. What the hell is wrong with NBA.com?
We can't give Boki Nachbar open looks, give open looks to RJ or Kidd, not Nachbar. Awww Parker hits a shot but it was a 24 sec violation. Karma its on the Score, and yea I dunno why nba.com's score updates are really slow. Play by Play: RJ hits an open 3 assisted by Nachbar. The score is 83 NJ, 82 Raps, Raps ball, 50 seconds left in 4th. Ford gets fouled on a drive. hits both free throws. (NJ 83, Raps 84) 32 sec 7 seconds left on shotclock, RJ shoots over Bosh and misses. Parker rebounds, Ford gets fouled. 15.2 seconds left. Ford hits first freethrow. Hits second FT. (Tor 86, NJ 83). Vince drives into paint and finds an open Nachbar, Nachbar in the corner misses a 3 which was relatively uncontested as Ford runs a few seconds late. (8.2 seconds) Parker rebounds and is fouled. Misses first FT, hits second FT. (Raps 87, Nets 83) 8.1 sec Someone for the Nets misses a shot, Parker rebounds and is fouled. Parker hits 2 FTs (Raps 89, Nets 83) 3.5 sec Kidd misses a 3, game ends. Little tissue paper falls from the ceiling. Fans are happy. Anthony Parker had 26 points, 8 boards, 8/13 FG.
RAPTORS WIN RAPTORS WIN! Raptors still not the Raptors, great to pull this one out without being ourselves the full game, more to come.
Defense by Anthony Parker and Mopete is the reason we won this game. Does Larwrence Frank wants to talk about Sam Mitchell being a bad coach now? First Frank decides to use Jefferson and Carter to ISO the best defender on our team for most of the game. Then Sam Mitchell reads his play call before it even happens. I think it's time to admit Jason Kidd is the coach of the Nets.
Raptors win! What a game! Bosh finally stepped up in the 4th quarter. TJ came in for a struggling Jose and jumpstarted the offense. And Anthony Parker is now officially the "anti-Carter." He got his on offense, but VC can't do sh!t against his defense. I'm shaking right now. Man, I got to give credit when credit is due. On the day he gets his CoY award, Mitchell coached one of his best games to date. Substitutions were perfect, timeouts at the right time, and he rode it out with the right players. On to New Jersey!
Boss. We didn't play that great of a game today and we still won so that is a good sign. I know we feed of the crowd but im interested to see how we play on the road - Bargnani, Graham and Bosh(to start), Humphries seemed a little nervous maybe things will change in the swamp.
BOOOOY MY HEART MADE IT OUT OF THAT GAME HANGING BY THE HAIR ON ITS ASS these are the type of games where you can use a guy like garbo to do all the little stuff BIG props to Bosh BIG props to Parker and I hate to say it but BIG props to Nachbar for never missing. This guy just a great shooter. ...but then deciding to miss the most important shot oops almost forgot about the play of Ford, he made a great shot from the corner to take the lead.
Damn.. it was a DIFFICULT win. I know it's playoffs... but refs don't call a foul!!!! This is a bad news for bosh cuz he usually got all the calls during regular season. During the game, I really missed garbo's contribution. If garbo was able to play instead of bargnani, it could have been totally different ball game BTW...We gotta start makin some jump shots
Lawrence Frank said that Anthony Parker might be the most underrated player in the nba. Edit: Actually he said along the lines "One of the most unheralded players in the game, he is a glue guy, who plays hard on both ends."
how does he not get most improved player, last time he was in the nba he averaged like 2ppg, he left the NBA, IMPROVED HIS GAME, game back and was great for his team. I guess you have to be in the NBA the season before.
^ Yea, I think its from season to season. But yea, since Garbo's gone down Anthony Parker's definitely been one of the more underrated players in the NBA.
The crowd tonight was insane. Way better than game one. They even started booing RJ on top of VC, haha.
I didn't get to watch the entire game, but from what I seen during the entire first half Toronto is looking much more confident. I also didn't have any interest in turning back to check on the score since the NBAtv commentators are absolute drones and suck ass.
gotta post this one up, it's a fan 590 link talking about the nets. link Click the 2nd link down "Hinterland NJ Net"
