<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> BOSTON (AP) -- The Boston Celtics are severing ties with guard Sebastian Telfair just days after he was arrested in New York with a loaded gun in his car. Team managing partner Wyc Grousbeck said Telfair, who was the 13th pick in the draft in 2004 and is coming off a disappointing first season with the Celtics, would not be back with the team. "The facts and circumstances of his case have not been determined, but he does not have a Celtics locker and we do not anticipate that he will," Grousbeck said in an e-mail. He did not say how the team would handle the remaining season on Telfair's contract. Telfair's attorney, Ed Hayes, told The Associated Press the Celtics are rushing to judgment. "It always bothers me when you punish a guy so severely before there's been a finding of fact. I think that's wrong whether it happens in Durham (N.C) or in Boston," Hayes said, referring to the Duke lacrosse rape case.</div> No only did he struggle big time but that guy seems to have an attitude problem. That being said, occasionally I will see him make a great pass that he has no business throwing. In the same mold of Rod Strickland, or Mark Jackson or Rafer Alston or even young Steve Nash. I still think he has a lot of upside at 21 years of age. If we were to trade either Jose or T.J to upgrade at another position i wouldn't mind bringing in Telfair.
I find Calderon and TJ Ford to be much better players than Telfair. If you think Ford takes too many bad shots, I don't think you would want Telfair on the team. Plus, last thing we need in Toronto is players that get into gun fights and constant trouble. Besides, Jose and Ford are a great combination to use against teams. I would never pull the trigger on that trade, let alone THINK about it.

I wouldn't mind him, though, he would sit at the end of the bench and plays a few minutes every blowout the Raps are in. Although Colangelo are looking for character guys, and i don't think Telfair fits that bill. Other than that.. giving up Calderon or TJ in a trade? When the Celtics are trying to CUT Telfair. Why would you make a trade? Just sign him or what not. I see him going to New York though.
YES. I wanna see telfair get a second chance. i know he could be REALLY good. theres no doubt that potential is there, hes just gotta change his attitude. id love to see him go to houston with a few good guys like shane battier and tmac with van gundy who might be able to sculpt him into a great player

Have not been impressed in Telfair at all, the times that I've seen him play. I don't really see any potential and he's a horrible shooter. No thanks.
