hes in 3rd place way behind nash and dirk in GM voting. i really wanted this to be his year. i mean hes the only player besides wilt to score 50 or more in 10 games in 1 season. just like last year when he had 81 only behind wilt....thats not easy to do. i understand that nash and dirk have great teams and that is a reason why, but they cant do the things kobe does for his team. he deserves an MVP.

Well, I never really expected Kobe to win MVP since they grade team records highly and we have a very low team record while Nash and Nowitzki have great team records.

i think they shouldnt grade the team records so high...it should also include individual performance...and i say kobe would take that

I personally did. I thought he has been REAL impressive 2nd half of the season and has been doing all he can to help his team. Come on now. 50+ points in 10 games...thats VERY hard to do

It is very hard to do, but, don't forget that the media are the on who votes, and most of them don't like Kobe for some reason. Anyway, I wanted him to win MVP, but I really didn't expect him to win it.

Yeah thats true, but the official voting isnt in yet. This was the GM votes, and the NBA writers and TNT insiders and all of those guys also had mock MVP votings, but Kobe recieved ZERO votes in those so yeah its a real long shot, but I think he deserved it.

Are you being sarcastic or did he really not have any votes at all??? If so, that's pretty wack.

He had a few votes from the GM mock vote, but not ANY from the TNT insides, ESPN Analysts, and NBA writers, reporters, officials, etc. And yeah I know...thats crazy.

nonono you got it wrong. The TNT insiders, ESPON Anlysts and NBA people only voted for their #1, not #2 or 3

Got that right.. Last year was pretty stupid, after all the things he did last year for his team, he only finished at 4th.. I really wonder if the media has any brains at all?? Cause you know, last year the Lakers had a better record and scored more points but he ended in 4th, but this year, he scored less and had a worse record and then he's 3rd?? I know that we only have a bad team record cause of all the injuries, but, you know how much the media takes into account stats.. So why did this happen?

Yeah, 811 points.. that really was a big part of hitory being re-made but some of the media seems to ignore it and not actually vote him for him, even for 3rd place..

yeah its his fights with shaq and the rape trial that they care more about then what he does on the court.

Yeah, that really pisses me off, I mean it's not as if Shaq didn't do anything wrong in that fight.. After all, he was the "big brother" he should have taken measures to make there relationship better.. Afetr all he was the team's leader and captain.
