<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DALLAS -- If Don Nelson knows Dirk Nowitzki as well as he claims, the Warriors better heed their coach's warning.

Nelson predicts Nowitzki will have a breakout game Wednesday night in Game 2 of the Mavericks-Warriors best-of-seven first round playoff series. History says he's probably right.

"I've never seen him have two bad games," said Nelson, who coached Nowitzki for the first seven years of the perennial All-Star's NBA career. "We expect a dominant game, that's why we have to be way better."</div>

I think this is actually a mind game as well. I think he's trying to pysch Dirk out before the game, and actually have him perform bad again tonight. I hope it works.

Maybe, he is just psyching out Dirk which would lead to him choking and then losing.. But, really I think almost everyone expects a big game from Dirk today after all he is gonna win that MVP award.

That's why I actually think he'll lose. Until Dirk proves him wrong, Dwayne Wade was right. Dirk disappears when a leader on the court is needed for Dallas, and this is another situation where Dirk is needed. I think he may not show up again.

Probably the top 5 players I've talked smack about would be in this order:

    1.) Mike Dunleavy Jr.
    2.) Adonal Foyle
    3.) Derek Fisher
    4.) Calbert Cheaney
    5.) Troy Murphy

Pietrus in years 1-2 I was cool with him. Then he didn't improve and then his play lately has just been retarded. You don't know what you can get out of him when he isn't forced to think that much because he'll still do something lame for everytime he does something well.

So basically, I kind of hated on one dimensional or very soft or very stupid/raw players. Whether their character was good or not, it did not matter. It's about their contributions and how much money or playing time they stole from the organization.

Mullin, dang... I used to dislike his moves, but the trade he made for Nelson to put better players around Jrich and Baron, was excellent. I thought it'd be a wash, but we subtracted our weaknesses and got some decent strengths in return. Getting rid of our weaknesses was key though. It was addition by subtraction. No more soft players that were slow footed and couldn't do much else besides stand around and shoot.

Guys like Steve Kerr will support players like Dunleavy and Murphy, but it's all about having 4 other good or great players that can hide that one weakness on the team that can only do one or two good things as a basketball player. We had two weaknesses... Now we got just one if Harrington can't hold up the power forward or center position or play a good small forward that can do the types of things Jrich and Jackson do.

Dirk has absolutely no interest in playing in the playoffs this year. You guys don't need to worry about him. Funny thing is this dude might end up winning the MVP.

Well that's fine. MVP is regular season MVP, right? Shoot if Dallas wins the championship, Finals MVP might go to Josh Howard or somebody.
