I agree with NTC on this, their is no way to completely avoid fighting, especially during the high school years without looking like a complete punk. I don't condone fighting, but there are situations where it becomes necessary. I don't let anyone talk down to me, without responding, but I tend to keep it on a verble level until the other person tries to take it to a physical level. Situations where fighting cannot be avoided are... 1. One of your friends is getting jumped and needs your help 2. Someone touched/disrespected your girl friend 3. Someone disrespects your family. That's me. I'm not going to say "fighting is wrong" just because its the "right" thing to say.
So the guy never showed up and said he has to go somewhere. Now The Legend is thinking of posting bulletins on Myspace calling him a p*ssy.
A youtube vid of this fight would have been nice. Last year, me and my friend came back to school from lunch, and I guess he cut off the guy for the parking spot. The guy got pissed off after my friend wouldn't move his car (parking is very hard to find at that school) so he wanted to beat him up. My boy was like f*** it, let's go. Then he said, "hold up, let me take my shirt off, I don't to rip it." The other guy did the same, and as he was taking off his shirt, my friend ran up on him and got 3-4 good-clean hits on him, and tackled him to the floor. He kicked him a few times while he was down, then we got in the car and left school for the rest of the day. So yea, there's no such thing as a clean fight. My friend had no chance against that guy, but he was witty enough to get the win.
LOL I just saw this thread. First of all, that guy was a PUNK. If he has enough balls to mess with you, then he'd have enough balls to fight you. I am glad you stepped up like a man and challenged him to a fight. Enough is enough. If someone is bothering you so much, you have to do that sometimes. The guy was scared.
I don't think fights are something that should be planned. There heat of the moment things if your not mad enough to hit him when it happens then why hit him another day.
Agree with NTC. "Rep" is everything in high school and/or middle school. And IMO violence does solve problems, it doesn't necessarily determine which party was right but after a fight or a war or whatever the problem is solved. Usually when things are "talked out" it just leaves everyone unhappy and tensions rise even more.
