Okay I was just peeping Kobe's fave 5 playoff moments and to no surpise MJ's switch of hands on the Lakers made the list...seriously MJ had TONS of moves that were much better than this single one...there are kids on playgrounds that can do that very same move......hell if I got my lazy ass back in shape I could probably do it to....I think the stage being the Finals is why this move gets so much attention, because there are so many other MJ moves that just totally blow that one out the water.
I can actually do that move, and I never practice it at all. I agree that it wasn't that special though, but like you said it's because it took place in the Finals that it gets so much attention. And it's not like it inspired the Bulls to go on a bring run or something. Basically it's Jordan and the finals. That's why you see it all the time.

He was very close to the basket.

I think MJ was overall overrated by the judges in his Dunk Contest vs. Dominique Wilkins. The only reason he won was because it was held in Chicago.

Jordan's greatest move was that triple pump he did in I believe his rookie year. I think the team he was facing were the Kings but I'm not too sure, but that was one of the greatest things I've ever seen. The Finals move is REALLY overrated, I've thought that since the day I've seen it.

But it's not AI's best move. In my opinion it was some crazy shot over Tyronn Lue in the 2001 Finals and then he steps over him. Statement
I think by far, I think MJ's move against the Knicks in the 90s was the best. He went baseline towards the basket then saw Ewing went back the other way, dismissed like 3 players, then went back to dunk on Ewing.
