Heh. He played well enough in Game five, and pretty good in Game Six. Has Steve Nash ever gotten to the Finals?

I never said he was the most clutch player in the world but he's not "soft".
there are people on this board, on t.v., on radio, and people I know (in real life and on other boards I go to) who also share the same exact feelings for Dirk...if you don't think we're "logical" then I could care less (enjoy the Nash show tonight....)

Game 7 in 2005-2006 playoffs vs. San Antonio Spurs: 11-20 37 points 15 rebounds(won by 8 in OT) Game 7 in 2004-2005 playoffs vs. Houston Rockets: 5-14 14 points 14 rebounds(won by 40) Game 7 in 2002-2003 playoffs vs. Portland TrailBlazers: 12-21 31 points 11 rebounds(won by 12) Game 7 in 2002-2003 playoffs vs. Sacramento Kings: 12-20 30 points 19 rebounds(won by 13) Total: 40-75, 112 points, 59 rebounds Average: 10-18.75(53.33333%) 28 ppg 14.75 rpg Seems like a big game player to me. Not to mention he barely played in the 4th quarter in the game against the Rockets because they were absolutely murdering them. The Rockets game was an exception and not the rule. Not to mention he has played in 81 playoff games(basically a full season) and has averaged 25.5 ppg 11.1 rpg on 44.8% with 38.5% from 3 point land and 87.7% from the line. Compare that to his career regular season 22.3 ppg, 8.6 rpg, on 47% shooting, 38.1% from 3 point land, and 86.9% from the line, it sure as hell looks to me like he brings it regular season and postseason. For your amusement before you complain about his 2 seasons where he wasn't the star of the Dallas Mavericks, I will take them out. I will subtract the 1820 total points scored and 694 total rebounds in 129 games to get 13,353 total points and 5,148 total rebounds in 552 total games to get an average of 24.19 ppg and 9.33 rpg. So as you see, other than FG%, Dirk improves in the post season in ppg, rpg, 3 point percentage, and FT percentage. Which basically refutes your claim that he is just a regular season performer and the nearly 1.8 more rpg he avgs in the postseason helps refute your claim that he is soft. No player that avgs 11.1 rpg in basically an entire season DURING THE PLAYOFFS is "soft" in my book. Not to mention his bump in scoring and rebounding during Game 7's(even counting the "dreadful" performance against the Rockets) proves that he comes to play during big games. Is that enough "hard substantial evidence" for you?

<div class="quote_poster">THE DREAM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">how do I change my sig and save my current sig???</div> Right click the sig and save it to your computer in a place where you can find it later. Do that with both sigs. Then go to http://www.imageshack.us/ and upload the Dirk 4 MVP sig and then take the link(should be the very bottom one that they give you) and come to JBB, right under the banner on the left you will see your username and "User CP" click User CP and then click Edit signature. In there you would use the tag.... If you aren't at your computer I would suggest saving it to the computer you are using then upload both at imageshack, then getting the URL for the alicia keys sig and then just e-mailing that link to yourself.

More than anything, I think last night's performance and the stats that Gators pointed out simply shuts down your arguement for the time being.
